While taking her class, it will not be fun. But when you move on to higher math classes in the future, you will definitely be prepared. Her class is challenging and she expects a lot from her students. She's taught me the most that a math teacher ever has, and knows what she's doing. Kennedy is a truly brilliant teacher and can not only answer any question you have, but make it easy to understand. There is a quiz or a test once a week and that can be stressful, but in the end it's all worth it.
I cannot tell you how great of a teacher she is. You will only say negative things about her if you choose not to listen to her and is disrespectful. Not only is she super funny, but she is also a very knowledgeable person who is always willing to help you with any topics you are confused about. Not only is her AP pass rate high on Calc BC exam, but also the mode of the scores people receive is a 5.
The material is difficult and she expects a lot. But she is nice and offers extra help if you ever need it :) One of my favorite teachers!
She is RUSSIAN!!! I really liked her was of teaching. She is really hard and expects a lot from her students. at first she may be very intimidating but once you go a quarter with her she will start to make jokes and she is really fun! I received a letter of recommendation from her and it was really well written. Bottom line if you're nice to her shell be nice to you!
I had her for Geometry and she was a very good teacher. By far the best math teacher I have ever had. She is strict if you sass her and is strict on work but she makes everything very clear. Her tests come straight from the material and she explains stuff very well.
By far the best math teacher I've had. I don't know about her other classes, but I had her for Calc BC and Algebra 2 honors and I am grateful. She teaches strictly what she has to teach. She does it well, concisely and doesn't take BS from students. If you pay attention, do the warmups and MAKE SURE you know how to do them before a test, there is no reason not to get an A. I admit she does pick favorites though, but probably not intentionally. She has a very warm heart... outside of class :)
I used to hear a lot from her. Depending on when you have her I hear she can either be more calmer or more tense. I personally believe she's very smart and knows exactly what she's talking about. She truly is one of those teachers you find difficult, but then look back and say "My god, she wasn't all that bad". She can be picky and emotionless sometime (she is Russian) but to those lucky enough to see her soft side, you end up having such a deep respect for her. She honestly is a good person.
Sophomore year I thought she was way to hard with grading tests. But looking back, I see she's a way better teacher than, say, Jung (sorry for comparing). She explained things WAY easier and kind of prepares you better for difficult tests. People who think they can't understand her are kind of a joke. Her accent's not that heavy.
really did try to teach students. not there for the paycheck. picky as others said, but worth it
Pretty picky, especially on tests, but I'm sure that I'll thank her for her pickiness once AP testing comes around. She can be helpful but not always. She's pretty chill though. Overall, okay.
Took her for Algebra 2. She's really strict, and nit picky, but I can honestly say I learned a lot in her class. She helped you when me when I needed it (and had touring after school). Good teacher.
Although strict, she maintains good discipline in the class, and keeps up the pace. Really helpful too; just don't talk excessively in class, or you will feel the pain.
Just because she has a Russian accent does not mean she's a bad teacher. Teaches lessons clearly and is willing to clarify things for any student, especially those who struggle. Just pay attention!
She can get angry at the class and call you stupid when people are acting up. Wasn't incredibly helpful but I did learn the material.
get past the whole russian thing and her slight disorganization and theres a really good teacher and educator behind the sneers and jeers from the back of the classroom
Lay off on her English, but she is difficult, please pick new people to go to the board.
She means well but students take advantages of her, then she cant teach
