Extraordinary. He makes a difficult class fun and interesting. Overall the most enjoyable teacher I've had.
So, Like the previous comment's it's pretty obvious Mr. Paulson is a hilarious guy, even when his jokes are bad. Try to impress him. Ask him to call you something other then your name, he'll remember you that way.
Mr Paulson is one of the best teachers that I have had in many moons since I have been out of school for twenty years:) Without him I would never have had the chances that he gave me with my ADHD. I will thank him one day for changing my life so l wouldn't end up dead or in prison at an early age. May God bless him as he blessed me.
Make sure you sit in the front of the class and participate so he knows your name. That's how he picks favorites. Less is more, writing-wise. He loves music and reading, so try to get your essays to relate to that. Make sure you keep up with reading because he likes pop-quizzes. If you're in pre-AP 10, good luck the the tests. They're unbelievably difficult because they just involve knowing irrelevant details from the books. Paulson's a funny guy though, if you're on his good side.
i loved Mr. Paulson so much! he gave me a nickname which no teacher had ever done before. he treated me like a friend and i loved that. we shared a lot of the same interests like acting and you got this vibe that he was real. he's was awesome and i miss his class so much!
Paulson probably the best teacher I've had. He made English so interesting for me, and he got me interested in many things I would never be interested with other teachers.
Tries real hard to help students who try hard as well. Material is straightforward and isn't really strict about deadlines. Makes jokes at times which may or may not suit students' taste.
I disliked Mr. Paulson. He chose favorites and wasn't very helpful. The only thing I admire about him was that he admitted, up front, that you'd either love him or hate him. I was the later.
Mr. Paulson is one of those teachers you'll never forget. Pragmatic, intelligent, and authentic.
Paulson is just part of the experience of RAHS...he'll call you "chancellor", a "rosedalian", and a "turd", but he cares about you.
I don't think easiness is necessarily a quality that makes a teacher BETTER. Mr. Paulson is not a teacher who will give you an easy A; or an easy B for that matter. But he's the best teacher I've had.
He is one-of-a-kind. Someone posted "covers his lack of intelligence with humor". The joke is on them. This guy is brilliant and not affraid to tell the truth.
His teaching style is lacking, he tries to cover his lack of intelligence with humor.
All students should take a class from Paulson at one time or another - one of the best teachers at RAHS.
THIS GUY IS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! his class is pretty intense though, you really have to work hard and participate.
really fun guy, and cool teaching style. i wanna be his TA next year!
I have to admit that he's a decent teacher, but his personality is very snobbish and abrasive.
High standards, great teaching style - engages students really gets to know them as people. Highly recommend his honors English class.
Kent Paulson is an awesome guy, he has a unique teaching style that is very straight forward and helpful and at the same time he makes class fun with his humor, my favorite teacher
Very clean english class, and fun teacher...one of the coolest teacher in roseville high scahool
He is an awesome teacher! He teaches in a way that is easy to pay attention to (even if the assignments aren't easy.
the best teacher i have had, the coolest person, and the nicest guy in our school
he's one of the tightest teachers at rahs at least i think so
a really good teacher, especially if you're planning on majoring in science related studies in college...very good prep.
