Hard subject but a very good teacher. She has a sense of humor and is very helpful if you ask for help. May seem strict at first but knows what's good for you and makes you a better writer/reader. Although, I can see how if you were dazing off for a minute in her class, you would be totally lost.
Mrs. Kent is one of the best teachers that I've ever had. She has a passion for Language Arts, and makes it fun. Although she does many projects and books, I've done the most learning, and not just curriculum this year than ever. She is not always clear, but mostly she'll explain it to you if you ask. She's very friendly, kind, and knowledgeable on her subject. I thoroughly enjoy going to her class period every day.
Mrs. Kent is hands down the best teacher I have ever had. He kind and loving personality makes her exceptionally easy to talk to and approach. He teaching is sometimes challenging but she prepares you for high school like no other. She has a wide range of expertise, and I was lucky enough to have her. Shout out to you Mrs. Kent, the best teacher at KP
Nice, but impatient. Short fuse and excepts way too much, but I guess that is good.
Ms. Kent is good at being a teacher and teaching what she has to, but other than that her expectations of what an 8th grader should know are way too high and she acts like high school will be way harder than it actually is. She tells kids to sit down and shut up because she and everyone else can't multitask. Good at teaching. Terrible other than that.
I am in seventh grade but Im in 7th grade spanish and she is next door to the spanish teacher on garnet. The 8th graders were in the commons with hall teachers talking about next year and it took them period 1,2 and 3. I had spanish period 4 so I was confused because I didn't see any students in the spanish classroom. I asked her when the 8th were coming and she said I don't know figure it out. I was just like, ok… not exited if I am on garnet team next year. she looks mean too, hope she's not.
Mrs. Kent is no doubt a hard teacher, but for our honors class, she was actually easier than I thought she would be. It's because this year, we didn't have enough time to learn everything, so she went easier on us. And get on her good side. If she likes you, she subconsciously gives you a better grade, like any other teacher would. But she's a really helpful teacher. I honestly learned so much from her and have improved my writing significantly.
Mrs. Kent. Where do I start....She was most definitely one of the best teachers I ever had. I have become a much better writer and when I read, I actually understand the novel or poem, rather than just reading the words. Mrs. Kent may be a tough grader but she doesn't do it for fun! She wants her students to improve, and as long as you use the examples and pay attention in class you'll do fine. She was always able to make a joke and bring a smile to my face. She's withouta doubt a great teacher,
I did learn a whole lot in her class this year (2012), but I don't really like her as a person. She seems rude to kids and does not want to take her time to further explain stuff. But other than her attitude, she is a pretty good teacher!
She can be a really nice teacher. But it depends who you are. If you're one student who likes to screw around in class, she will hate you until you're gone. So future garnet team kids, GET ON HER GOOD SIDE! I had her for 8th grade class of 2011, and we were the worst class.. So take my advice.
Sorry to say this, but she is unreasonable. Strict is good, but she is just unfair. Mrs. Kent doesn't explain her expectations clearly or we found out about some requirement AFTER an assignment (is
mrs kent is the worst teacher ever. had her last year. she is unreasonable, strict, and her assignments are impossible to get an A on. she is RUDE, and doesn't help with anything. no matter how hard y
Best Language Arts teacher I've ever had! But get on her good side, or you will not have a good year.
She's really strict at the beginning of the year but gets easier toward the end... I've never learned so much in an English class... by the end of 8th grade, I was completely ready for high school!!!
she's not the nicest but she's an amazing teacher. i've learned soo much this year & gotten so much better at writing too!! she gets easier at the end of the year too
She was a very helpful teacher to my daughter. She was very clear about what she expected and did all she could to help her students become better writers.
We read like 3 books and did like 2 units in the vocab book. She talks too fast. Nice though.
I'm not going to say that she wasn't strict, because she was. She gave a TON of homework. It wasn't hard, it just took a LONG time. Looking bak, as hard as she is, I learned a ton!
really good teacher. She was pretty strict, but I didn't think that it was in a mean way I thought that it was in a helpful way. I learned so much from her
I have lots to say about her...(but I can't say that much because I'm already going over the 160 letter limit--oops!) She's really strict, and her class is bor-
really good teacher, i learned so much from her, she's strict, but one of the best teachers i've ever had
She is an okay teacher. She trys to cram 2 much into 1 lesson. She expects 2 much of the honors class...o well. Shes better than Hegarty- so o well
Kinda nice but wayyy to strict, needs some humor in her life. Shes also rude sometimes and always calls students "people" and yells "HUSH UP!" like no 2morrow.
cool teacher out of class....but get on her good side and she lets u do anything..trust me from experience..i used to swear loudly and she would just look at me
I think Mrs. Kent was an awesome teacher...7th grade english was definitely my high point in LA.
She is an okay teacher... she is good at teaching, she is just 2 strict. She trys to cram 2 much into 1 lesson. She expects 2 much of the honors class...
