Throw me one of those curve balls --->
I honestly used to do nothing in his class but the guy is great and if you take part in his class and do your work you will love him.
Attendance is mandatory, because each class is interesting and different, but you can be late as long as you know how to prepare the coffee you bring him as tribute. He is a wonderful WONDERFUL teacher, and he really cares about his students, although he tries his hardest to convince you otherwise. If you let him he can push you to new heights in your learning, not just about english, but about life as well. He was my absolute favorite teacher throughout high school.
Be prepared for a lot of sarcasm. You've got to fight back and tease him too, or else he will think you're weak and not take interest in you. He is probably one of the smartest men at Rye High and as Krajca says, "he's the meanest man you'll ever love". He will teach you how to argue if you engage with him. There is so much to learn from him, even outside of academics, so make sure to ask for advice. He completely predicted what everyone in the class got on the AP--spot on. Awesome guy.
Hard and unfair. Grades your first paper and that's your grade for the rest of the year.
Seriously knows his stuff. Really cares about the kids and where they go in their life.
Mr. Kelly likes to put up an act like he doesn't care about his students but if you take the time to get to know him he really is a great guy.
Absolutely the best teacher/mentor you will ever meet in your life. If you don't appreciate what he does in the classroom, you probably don't belong in his class to begin with.
Great teacher. But if you're not smart, or at least not willing to try, then this is probably not the guy for you.
mr. kelly is the best teacher there is at RHS. if ur taking his class, appreciate the time u get, u will learn a TON
Cool teacher. I wonder though whether his personality in school is an act, or if he is really like that.
"cement heads":not an effective or appropriate way to reach students. claims to be open minded--not supported by evidence. so-called class discussions are superfluously redundant: ideal for his pets.
If he's mean to you, you either don't get his humor which is sad, or he's trying to push you further. The Best Teach at RHS.
I respect him as a teacher but not as a person. Although Mr. Kelly is one of the best teachers you'll have in RHS, he is inconsiderate, bitter and just overall a mean guy.
Kelly is the dev, but kelly is the man. Really smart and intimidating but you'll learn more than any other teacher at rhs
