People do not like Mrs. Koroma because they are not ready for a tough class. They expect high school to be easy and teachers to somewhat baby the students through and work on a subject in class forever. Students often as well do not adequately prepare for tests/quizzes so they do poorly and blame it on the teacher...how immature. If you pay attention in class, do your homework, and take the initiative to be sure you know the subject and what was taught, you've got a 100. good teacher.
Worst teacher I have had so far at McIntosh. Nice lady, but has no idea how to explain simple topics to her students.
Everyone warned me about Mrs. Koroma when I started the year..but honestly, I really like her. Sure, maybe she's a little confusing when she answers your questions, but if you're paying attention enough and if you're actually meant to be in an accelerated class then she's a-ok! She's just too smart for some of the lower-level students who "hate" her.
Boring class makes it hard to pay attention, but really easy. You just have to find ways of passing the time by messing with her. It's fun.
To tell you the truth, I didn't think Mrs. Koroma was that good of a teacher, but I did enjoy her class, and the class was based mostly on the textbook. But i loved Mrs. Koroma! <3
She is very smart but it is obvious she does not have a passion or gift for teaching at all. I have never known a teacher that is able to ignore the fact that so many students are completely lost and don't understand anythign, when it's so obvious. So many people are getting tutored and are failing. I feel sorry for students that have to have her and I hopes she retires soon!
Kind woman, but I have to teach myself from the book. Quizzes are easy, but she'll sometimes put uncovered material on tests which, if you don't know and even if you dominate the quizzes, will bring down your average.
You have to be one of the worst teachers I've ever had. I learned nothing from you. Luckily, my natural genius helped me through the class. Then, because of YOUR grading mistake, a 98 when to 96....
This teacher appears to be singularly unable to relate to students.
this is probably one of the worst teachers at mcintosh. if you are unlucky enough to get her, drop the class immediately
A nice woman, but she can't connect with students. She often gets halfway through a problem & starts over. If you're not innately good at math, you'll struggle.
I finially got math after her! she is not as bad as everyone says she is. show your work though.
Yeah, definitely taught myself Alg. 2. Get outta that class if you can.
Had her two years... hard to understand at times but very nice and dedicated... will help you a lot.
