Mr. De Muth is a great teacher overall. He is super nice to his students and makes class enjoyable. He makes it clear to students how to succeed in his class, however, barely teaches and admits that the class is taught through the textbook. Labs are fun but make sure you pick a good lab group because you are stuck with the same lab group the entire year.
He's a good teacher cares about you and if you get to know him he'll be really nice to you. Ask him for help and he will help him, any advice you ask him he will give as well. Follow his tips for study and use the AP books and learn how to learn and his class shouldn't be that hard.
Great teacher, awesome attitude towards everything.
He likes to hide the tests and make it difficult to see what you got wrong. He tries to fail you on purpose by taking a large number of points off for sig figs and units, and then wants to talk to you about why you failed. He doesn't know what coulumb's law is and has consistently messed that up. He honestly should just resign.
Really unknowledgeable teacher but the most chill guy ever and everything you need is in the book. His class has to be the easiest ever. He copies and pastes straight from the book and collegeboard so if you do those youll get As, easily. Got a 97% in his class just by doing those things listed in the last sentence.
He is definetly the worst teacher my child has ever had. He does not teach anything in class and continues to make constant mistakes when explaining crucial concepts in class.
he is a bad teacher. its seems like he doesnt know what he is saying half the time he lectures. he puts things on the tests that he didnt talk about and he teaches us things one way but on the test he says it is wrong.
I was not actually in his class but when I asked if I could get my lab notebook (which I had left over the weekend), he willingly came to school in the middle of a saturday and kept it outside for me to retrieve. He is such a nice guy compared to my teacher mr bacher who shouldnt be teaching chem h. He deserves the respect he earns from students and his popularity is well over the top. Tests can be a challenge though, but study! :) MY RATING: 11/10
A respectable teacher. He emphasizes the extent to which he wants his students to be successful. If you ask him a question, he will explain it well and constantly ask to make sure you understand throughout your questioning period. He's nice and understanding and seems to watch for his students. When I was having a bad day, he seemed to be watching me, which is the kind of teacher that is good for a teaching environment. His lectures are pretty boring, so it can be hard to focus -Neil M.
His ap chem course outclasses the stuff they have in college.
He's an awesome teacher, if only I studied more in that class and prepped for the tests (Chem H)
We are truly lucky to have Mr.Demuth for Chem AP. I love going to his class each day and know that he cares about his students and the material that he is teaching. I'll miss him :]
Mr. DeMuth is pretty much amazing. He is just one of those extremely experienced teachers who truly cares about his students. He's funny, he gives great pep talks, and he gets his students ready for high level academics and life in general. It's a privilege to be his student, but he never makes you feel that way. He might not even realize it, despite his extreme popularity among students. Mr. Larry DeMuth- a priceless part of the science department.
DeMuth's always doing his best to help his students succeed. He works late to prep for labs, gives inspiring pep talks, and truly seems to value each student for the person he or she is.
Our science department is absolutely amazing. They really love teaching andMr. DeMuth is just amazing. The only thing is that he tends to procrastinate more than Mrs. Uji, but hey, the kids aren't complaining : ) He can be unclear at times, but it's easily cleared out if you go ask for help
excellent teacher and person in general. this chemistry/biology teacher dedicates his whole self to teaching his students. although the learning curve for his classes may be a bit higher than others, it is a good way to get students to really start working harder. he has experience, humor, and terrific pep talks. Not to mention well rounded knowledge on the subjects he teaches, and a good heart that can only come from years of experience. overall, one of the best science teachers in the district.
Chem honors is a challenge and he never let us forget that with all his lectures about how hard we would have to work. But he knew what he was talking about and meeting the standards in his class made all my other science classes easier.
I absolutely LOVED his class. He was the funnest and most helpful teacher I've ever had. He's always so nice about everything and definitely one you should turn to. He gives everything in his power to help students succeed academically, and won't hesitate to make exceptions to particular students, such as allowing late work. I felt that he really treated me as an individual person, not just a student to be taught and then forgotten after one year. I could easily say he's my favorite teacher.
One of the best science teacher teachers ever!!!! I loved having him for Biology. He's such a nice teacher !!!!!! PS. His favorite insect is cockroaches.
good teacher but a bit disorganized.. lectures can be boring at times but overall a cool guy
Such a cool guy, and a good teacher. Definately the road you want to take if you're planning on taking Chem Honors.
Wonderful man and defintely there to help students. AMAZING STORIES that keeps you into his words but... didnt get too much from his teaching.
funny and can teach - ne1 find a better combination?
96'-teaching Chem honors now-lucky kids-I loved his class.
Totally cool! He's a great teacher, and is funny at that. Wonderful Chem Honors teacher.
he was very helpful when I did not get how to "disect" the pig.
