Shipp is one of the of those teachers that you will get once in a life time. She suggests, and will always push you further.
Shipp is by far my favorite teacher. She's not your best friend, she's your mentor. If your work is bad, she'll tell you, but she'll also tell you how to improve. Anybody who does poorly in her class either can't meet a deadline (very important in the real world) or doesn't listen to her in class or doesn't take her advice. She will push you, you might hate it, but leaving her class you will have learned more in a semester than you thought possible. So glad she's at Johnston!
You will hate her. You will love her. She will not spoon feed you anything. Wants you to learn first-hand. Not going to be helpful unless you know how to interpret the help she gives. Very knowledgeable. Very caring. My favorite teacher. Hands down.
I learned alot in her class but I think she moved to quickly and didn't wxplain things verry well. She seemed nice but didn't quite understand the amount of stress she was puting on us by moving to fast.I dont think she gave us enough work time to get our big projects done, when she knows most of us dont have a parking permit and have have no way to get to school to have extra work time, or we just have stuff going on after school. But all in all she was pretty understanding.
She's a good teacher, and I learn a lot from her class, but she's a really tough grader and she isn't very clear on what you need to fix on articles
Fantastic. She prepares you for the real world. Is she going to yell? Is she going to bug you? Yes. But you develop as a person. She wont let you give up on what you know you can do.
Needs to go on What Not To Wear. Journalism was good, so I joined yearbook. One of the biggest mistakes I could have made. Very unorganized and a horrible experience. Wish I would've found out sooner.
One of the greatest teachers in the high school, She has helped me so much through my years at the high school
