Mrs. DiMarco's class has been my favorite English class at Benet. Although some of her quizzes are difficult, she offers lots of extra credit opportunities. If you try in her class and do the extra credit then you should do fine.
She is very nice. She doesn't teach much in class, but she is always willing to answer any questions you may have, so you can still learn a lot. A few things to note: everything in her class is worth 100 points. Speeches, 10 questions quizzes and 50 question tests, all 100 points, not weighted in any way. Her book quizzes are really, really hard. Even if you do the reading, you will fail several of them. She gives a lot of opportunities for easy extra credit (also worth 100 points).
Overall, a really easy class. You do vocab, speeches, and read books for one semester, and vocab, speeches, and read for the other semester. She offers you extra credit to complete the 3200 chapter or the vocab chapter, so extra credit is easy to get. Her book tests are sometimes really hard though....
not a good teacher in class, but once you get used to her class, you'll do well. she's really nice teaches well if you go in for help. her reading quizzes were ridiculous though.
i like mrs. di marco, my class was always fun, but she wasn't easy. she expects a fair amount from her students and trys to prepare us for junior year. after giving all those speeches i have actually noticed the difference in public speeking. she gives a massive boatload of extra credit i wish i had done more of it.
I love mrs Dimarco!!! her class isnt easy but shes so helpful and gives so many opportunities for extra credit!
I say uncool simply because she isn't cool. However, I liked having her as a teacher because she didn't give us any pointless busywork. Do your vocab chapters and be ready for the vocab quiz. Do your 3200 chapters and be ready for the quiz. Prepare a speech here and there. And READ THE BOOKS, or else you fail. And that's all there is to her sophomore English class. . . I liked how it was predictable.
ya she is just an ok teacher, not the best, but not the worst, she doesn't do much teaching though.
In retrospect, I regret hating Mrs. DiMarco. She's a sweet lady and approachable. Because right now, I hate my English teacher.
Mrs. DiMarco is a very interesting character. She somehow manages to schedule our classes in a way that there's always something to do without learning anything. Any progress that we make in her class can also be achieved in our own houses.
she's an amazing teacher. i had her my sophomore and senior years at benet.
A great teacher who expects stuff out of Soph bums that sit around. She values personal responsibility, something sorely lacking in many Benet students. If you are without it, you are (deservedly) screwed. Read carefully and put some effort into your speeches. You'll succeed. She's a very nice lady and a fan of dogs. As for CW, I don't know, but I've heard it's fun.
CW is a great class. Sounds like sophs don't like to work.
I didn't like the fact that we wasted weeks on end doing absolutely nothing, and then have to read a novel in less than 2 weeks. She just teaches as her side job, when not selling a house
she never teaches in English II! all she does is assign work from 3200, speeches, or other stuff, and let that stuff teach for her. Make use of your time in class, dimarco!
pretty much hate her. she doesn't teach us anything. we don't do anything in class. aren't teachers supposed to teach you? not leave you to teach yourself.
Incredibly nice with a lot of heart and actually makes you take some responsibility. Her quizzes aren't bad-some people just don't figure out that you have to read the assignment!
Loved her, easy teacher. Creative Writing my favorite class ever. Adorable and just loves english
Dosen't teach vocab/grammar expects you to do it alone, very very nice. Prepare yourself for the hardest reading quizes of your life!
ugh, we go through days at a time where I cant even specify one specific thing I learned. and 3200? how bout you teach us something instead?
Ms. DiMarco was a hard teacher, but a very understanding one. She rules! To those who dont think so, talk to her outside of class, and she just rocks!
Mrs. DiMarco was awesome! You have to show genuine interest, then she'll like you. She's a really sweet lady too! Creative Writing rocks!!
words cant describe. lets just say i give her five points off
