She doesn't teach anymore but I still wanted to rate her. She's so nice and gentle and helps a lot. Her work load is a lot but she spreads it out so you would be OK unless you procrastinate. I loved her :)
Gives out too much homework at the same time and takes ages to grade papers
frustrating class at times
She's a nice teacher, but she gives too much homework and hands out projects expecting us to finish within the time period of 2 weeks. When she's trying to teach us a new format, she's not very clear and precise
She was really nice and helped me with my writing. I loved her class and the pace it went at.
Her voice is really quiet so it's really hard to hear her in class. She sighs a lot while talking. She takes FOREVER to grade papers and is a grammar maniac (I missed three points for not putting two unneeded commas). Least favorite teacher this year
Lots of homework but nice and understanding. Tests and quizzes fairly difficult so study well. Focuses a lot on short stories and writing instruction and not much on grammar/vocab.
I remember how fixated Gilbert was on the Jane Schafer format, and that's ALL I remember learning from her. Good thing, too, because I used the format a total of 0 times in college, and another 0 after I graduated. Thank you, Ms. G. You're the best. (And no, I did not learn sarcasm from her.)
she's an okay teacher. I actually understood the stories more since she explained it more. She's really nice as well.
She was very nice, and it was easy enough to sleep in class during videos. She was very helpful when you asked her for one on one help on writing. The only thing is that her voice is too quiet, and it
I wish all teachers were as good ad she is. I learned so much. Now I know something about writing. You should get her.
It was a fun class but it was hard to get good grades
She's actually a pretty good teacher. Her assignments are difficult but not impossible. You'll have to work hard if you want an A in this class.
- Student from English Honors 1 with Gilbert.
doesnt really do much but give essay with some background info. and give tests. So basically if you do bad on the tests and essay's, good luck getting an A
She's nice and everything and really cool about late work but her class is not very challenging, or fun. Also when we have peer discussions about stuff we wrote no one is allowed to critique.
didn't give any constructive criticism, didn't seem to pay much attention to grading essays, just corrected your grammar. good class if you don't want to be challenged or learn anything.
She gives out alot of homework, but the worst part is, she talks so quietly, you can barely hear her. She also lost my homework. She's a really nice teacher, but I didn't enjoy her class very much.
She is actually a good teacher but everyone dreads her class but CLASS WISE she's a really nice person and just do your work and study and it's easy
No one I knew who took her class liked her much, and she was way too quiet. She assigns project after project and isn't clear on how to do them. (She just restarted teaching honors last year)
i really didnt like her or her class. she talks too quite.
She was nice and her class was easy. not bad at all.
YAY she is still teaching this year, must have change her mind! But she won't teach honors anymore. But she is still a great teacher!
she was ok. but in 1st period, she was either wired on caffeen, or falling asleep. i guess it made it an easy class.
She doesn't teach, and has the kids teach for her. She is always laughing at things that aren't even funny, and she thinks that she is cool, in reality annoying
She's fun. Her projects are interesting and she teaches just fine.
had her last year; class was easy enough (honors), teaching straightforward; projects varied and fun; has bloodshot eyes only cuz takes nighttime classes
I really enjoyed Mrs. Gilbert's class. We had good discussions and fun projects. :)
i like her but the student teacher this year idont like
nice teacher but incredibly boring and didnt really teach well :/
