She's a great teacher! She won't just give you answers, you have to really work for them. Study!!! Her analogies are hilarious and they really do help sometimes. She has some good stories and she keeps students up to date with what's happening in the real world. Did I mention she's a musician as well? A woman of many talents, Lynn Tamayoshi has been one of my favorite teachers during my experience at high school.
She really teaches her students to think and be able to understand the concept. Hardest math class I've ever had, but honestly, I've grown a lot from her class. My ability to memorize and think on the spot has improved.
She brought her culture into the teaching curriculum students how to make origami.
I had her for Algebra II. I learned how to make origami in her class.
Her class wasn't easy, but I enjoy math so I got an A. I hated how she would put students on the spot. But overall, once you get to know her, you'll realize she's nice. She explains the materials pretty good. Her stories are pretty amusing and her examples are so hilarious. She's just not nice to people who doesn't try and who is super quiet. So be confident in that class, and she'll love you.
If you really love math then you'll do great in her class. Although she is a mean teacher, if you're the A student, she'll be really nice to you. She likes it when the class answers the question out loud. Don't be the really quiet class because she won't be able to see what you guys don't know. Also, when there is a quiz or test, always right what she says on the side of your test because it will help a lot. Just read the text book and follow her instructions. You'll do great because I did.
omg.. i thought id pass her class like nothing. but in reality, her class is one of the hardest math class i've ever had!!.. detail students detail!!.. ay!!.. but.. im learning a lot from her!
I hated her just because she'd tell me ask an "A" student for help. She's an interesting teacher, though...She asked me if I need help with the work after class
A very interesting teacher to talk to. Very different way of teaching, she has.
