Dr. Muhammad is fine at first, but then she starts overloading you. She gives projects to us step by step, which may seem helpful, but not when she causes you to cram at the last second. She has no idea about how long the projects can actually take, and how sleep deprived she is making the students. She often rants about unrelated topics, eating up the entire period. She also makes us stay in class after the bell rings without a pass. She gives more homework than all the other teachers combined.
Dr.Muhammad is a very nice and understanding person. Unfortunately, her class often runs off on tangents, causing limited time to properly cover required materials. Additionally, she has a habit of throwing projects at students that have due dates that are only a few days off, without proper explanation, forcing a mad scramble to try and complete the project.
Dr. Muhammad is a wonderful teacher
boi we havent learned anything... her lectures are incredibly confusing. She needs to teach biology.
Useless class. Learned nothing. Seemingly doesn't know much about biology/chemistry. We did projects more than learned anything.
I would imagine she knows something about biology, but she is absolutely terrible at communicating that knowledge to her students. She will often spend whole periods lecturing on topics unrelated to biology (such as her family's history of cancer). On the plus side though, he quizzes and projects are a joke. Easy A.
She lectures a lot. Very easy teacher. She makes things sound hard but it's actually not. Half the time she doesn't put the grade in or puts in in very late. Didn't learn much biology. We kept doing projects. The first semester was all project and no biology. At the end of the year we were rushed so we barely got graded. Barely any homework. Some notebooks checks.
Definitely one of the worst teachers I have ever had. I respect her as a person and how nice she was, but in terms of actually teaching, I didn't. Our student teacher taught way more than she did. It's super easy to get an A, (literally she grades nothing) but she does not teach at all, and I don't know how she's certified to teach. Good for people not interested in science, but if you do like science, good luck not learning anything.
Dr. Muhammad likes to pretend that her class is impossible, which is really intimidating, but it's really the easiest thing ever. While the quizzes make no sense, neither they nor the infamous end-of-year "portfolio" actually get entered in as grades. Last year we had a great student teacher who taught us tons, but Dr. Muhammad, while she knows her stuff, is not good at teaching that stuff to her students. TL;DR- You won't learn much, but you'll get the A anyway.
Dr. Muhammad is really smart in science. I'm afraid however that she doesn't quite understand that her student aren't at the same level of science smart as she is. She tries to explain things in a way that normal people really don't get. Which makes her class end up like a joke because no one knows what's happening so no one cares or tries. She always threatens to test you but never does. This class gives you a lot of stress and confusion for no reason.
Lots of her assignments have a lot of details and she often doesn't tell you about things until they are almost due, very busy so it's hard to get her help on things.
A very knowledgeable and nice teacher, but lectures a lot. The lectures would be boring, but she goes off talking about a lot of very interesting topics. Even though she makes it seem like you need to do a lot of work to pass, you can get an A without hardly doing anything, as long as you pay attention and don't annoy her.
she's very smart but she lectures pretty much 24/7 and that's how often you have to take notes... her quizzes are VERY hard and harshly graded but otherwise she's a good teacher, i guess. her class is very complicated and confusing though.
This description actually has nothing to do with Dr. El-Amin besides the fact that her last name is now Muhammad and used to be Wahid, But the weather is okay, I guess.
I learned more about dealing with the massive amounts of stress this class caused me then biology. The ONLY biology I learned was the structure of a cell. Looking back on all of her projects and assignments, I see no possible reason for them. The class was basically one big syllabus test.
Buhhh... After 10 months in this class, I know absolutely nothing about Biology. If you asked me what we did in this class I'd say... "Well, we learned about the evils of high fructose corn syrup for EIGHT FREAKING MONTHS and then we touched on photosynthesis where, instead of actually being taught, we were given progressively easier re-takes so that everyone would pass." Seriously. This class is a joke. Go study geometry or something, b/c you DON'T have to worry about your grade here.
she knows what she's talking about, and she explains it a lot, but she explains it in many different confusing ways. she assigns a lot of different projects all at once. she's usually an easy grader, but on somethings, like quizzes, she is really harsh and makes you redo them over and over. she's a nice person, but she enjoys torturing kids too much...
She is an ok teacher but she never gives directions because she wants you to develop problem solving skills or something. For anyone taking el-amin in the academic center it's important not to work yo
