Despite what many of the comments here say as long as you take the class seriously you will be fine. He takes his job incredibly seriously and expects the same of his students. He expects you to be there to work, not to play. Get on his good side, and your life will get a lot easier (he will still expect the same amount of effort, commitment, etc. as anyone else though). All the hard work and strictness pays off though, when you go on the spring trip and win first in every category.
Doc is the best. He's such a passionate director and the reason behind our choirs' success. He's very strict in class and occasionally he'll get mad and yell or kick someone out but more often than not, he's fine. He treats all of us like adults and in a very professional manner and expects the same respect from us. If you make Mads or Chamber you become especially close to him and you get to see his more relaxed side. Doc is the reason I'm studying music education in college
Doc is a wonderful director and extremely knowlegeable. He may be strict an occasionally yell, kick someone out, or make someone cry, but, his class is worth it. His class is only for those who are se
He is a very knowledgeable teacher. Best ever. He can be strict but you'll learn a lot. i'm gonna write more stuff cuz it won't let me submit this but he's really good guys so yeah i'm just writing ji
I am very lucky to have him as my choir director.
I love Doc. He's such a good director, but he's hard. But that's why all of our choirs are amazing. Just follow directions in class, show up to rehearsals on time and you'll be fine
personally, i hate this man. But he takes you seriously, which is cool. You gotta be careful about how you act around him or he'll snap. He's not afraid to yell at anyone.
I'm a rising senior, been in choir my whole life, and I have to admit he can be very mean if you talk too much in class. But he strives for perfection, so you'll be happy how good you become. Cameran
He is without a doubt the most professional teacher in langley. He takes choir extremely seriously, so if you're looking for an easy A go to theater. And be very respectful to him, or you'l be sorry.
He is the worst music director ever. When ever his class starts to speak, he yells. I hate when he does that.
He is a really cool guy. I learn a lot and appriciate what he does.
he straight up disrespects pple!he doesn't kno how 2 deal w. teens."technically" spking hes musically talented but personally makes u wanna drop. dont take unles serious abt singin
He acts miserable in his job and makes everyone miserable around him. He can be just plain mean sometimes. Talented people don't always make good teachers.
good technically...but he's made people cry in class
He's hard, but has really shaped us up. We are a much better choir than we have ever been. No pain, no gain!
i have run out out of the room crying from this class
He is a strict teacher, but he gets stuff done. He stuck with us this year and made us sound professional. I just don't like how he's changing the choirs around
he makes you hate choir- dont join- he's ruined the department
