Excellent command of subject. Conveys skills and concepts masterfully. Warm and caring, an accepting and safe environment. It's a privilege to be in his class.
He's pretty cool and smart, but he's kind of hard to understand and assigns random work that is not relevant to the subject (Andre the giant assignment in health) but cool guy overall
He is a legit genius. I got a 92 on the Earth Rozz Regents, pretty cool guy.
You should look your teachers up in NY. Roz has the most licenses of any teacher. Just not Earth Sci. They stuck him w/ 1 section but he knows that subject too. I was in it and got 92 on the Regents anyway! I want him for Chem, my sister did an almost got 100. He teaches fine, try working. And try caring about something besides exams or playing on your phone. When you're done having him you know how to think, noother teacher did that for me.
I have a child who had him, and am requesting him for the others. Why do kids object to reading a textbook linked to the course'? Laziness I suppose. Mr. R explains central concepts, gives related questions, analyzes answers in class. And he makes them DO lab science. A majority of negative comments come from a band of angry repeat posters who don't work in or out of class. In a district that mostly spoon-feeds spoiled kids, Marc Rosner is a 6-Star educator!
An original teacher! You must take ATLEASTone of his electives, he can really teach you to love science and its magic.Be careful however, because Earth Science is not his forte.Enrolling in his EarthRozz class is an irreversible mistake. You'll end up cramming the txtbk by the end of the yr and might fail the midtermBUT He's a guy of many interests.listen to what he says + you WILL learn a whole bunch of things, that come in handy to throw as fun facts and be the party nerd. TAKE HIS CLASSES
Rozz is passionate about science! All you need to do to enjoy his class is to read the txtbk and relax.
When I read the reviews on him, I was kind of scared to have him, and wanted to switch to Brownstein. But Rosner is really cool, I think the probably is that the majority of the people who wrote bad reviews on how he "doesn't teach", just didn't really pay attention in class. Yes, there is a lot of textbook use, but he knows a lot about Chemistry, Earth Science, and etc. To anyone in advance, if you don't like reading (I do), then switch to Brownstein. Be warned, it's your choice.
He's a pretty cool guy, he just doesn't know how to teach. He put stuff that he didn't even teach on a midterm, so I failed it
I like Mr Rosner, this may be because I find science to be a useless tool to the Human Race and he isn't like OTHER TEACHERS in the school who stress the importance of science constantly
Such a cool guy. He's a really fun teacher, but not a very good teacher at all. It's great having him, but I might fail the regents.
omigod I was horrified by this teacher they wouldnt switch me out. He gave over 1/2 hour homework EVERY night we read every word in every chapter
He's a nice dude. He's also pretty helpful if you see him yourself. If people just payed attention in his class, they would learn.
I HATE THIS MAN WITH A BURNING PASSION HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TEACH FOR HIS LIFE. his class is easy if you know how to teach yourself but its actually the worst class i've ever been in. ever.
nice but sucks at teaching. the classes have absolutly nothing to do with homework (most of the time) or test or passing the regents, but a really nice and smart guy, just doesn't know how to teach it
Horrible teacher and mean. Don't get on his bad side.In class he makes you clean the class/rusty bottles that he collects.unless you want to fail the regents or get an intese weekly tutor, switch out.
Extremely compassionate with the best intentions. Highly intelligent however, that does not constitute "good" teaching; his inclination to chemistry would perhaps be most productive as a researcher...
hes nice and fun but we never learn anything. im going to flunk the regents
i guess no one notice he follows the regents order has a regetns review book and uses regents questions, they must be are taking the regents in the wrong state
roz is actaully a really smart guy - i loved his class - hes really really nice!!
hes not the absolute greatest teacher in front of a whole class but he is a really really nice guy and he really does want students to learn -great after school
That last person is lying. i know who wrote it. she complains about everything. Rosner is fine.
Why all the bad ratings? good guy and a good teacher.
Roz is goofy and a fun guy, just the read the text book and u'll learn. go for extra help. chem is a hard subject, just deal w/ it, he reallly wants u to learn
I don't get it. why do people write this stuff about ros? I love this guy! He is always available for help and he really knows his stuff. I love his class!
he's not the best teacher, but his class is easy&fun..plus he's a really nice guy underneath.
Horrible teacher, but really nice guy. The class is a breeze. He tries to help, but usually doesn't know the answer Study independently for the regents.
nice guy, just not much help when it comes to the regents. . . pesky NYS laws.
Hes a really cool guy an relly smart justn ot that good at teaching
