Knowledgeable in her field, she seems to care little for students beyond the 1% of best students. Very old-fashioned methods of teaching and is one of the reasons junior year tends to be horrible. She is willing to assist one on one with a student but can carry a condescending aura. I feel she gets more flak than she deserves but is still overall a weak teacher.
She gives no class time for work. She makes learning as boring as possible! Expect example after example with very little explanation as to how to do it. If you have her for honors, I'll pray for you. It's the only math class I've ever hated. She's very old school with her teaching and doesn't offer much of a helping hand when you need it. Every time I asked a question she'd repeat it to me like the problem would magically make sense to me if she just repeated my question back to me.
What a great educator--she has high expectations and works so very hard to bring innovative ideas to the classroom
Not bad, but everytime you ask a question she will turn it around and make it sound as if you asked her "what is 2 plus 2?" other than that, ya not bad, easy.
Always very creative in her teaching, she helps students understand problems in full. However, she needs to address various learning styles and paces, challenging those who need it to stay motivated.
Here is some math 50/57 minutes taking notes =too many examples.
WAY TOO MANY EXAMPLES. PRAY THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE HER HONORS CLASSES. I DID TWICE. MR. WEST IS SOMETHIGN TO LOOK FORWARD TO.
She is nice and will definitely give help if you ask for it. Swallow your pride and just ask.
give us a break once in a while! I know it is honors, but why do you give us a 40 min assignment due the next day with no time to work in class?
TOO Nit-PICKY. SHE MAKES YOU SHOW WAY TOO MUCH WORK.
