Ms. G was my favorite teacher I had all through high school! She was the english and drama teacher (I know I'm dating myself here) when I graduated. She was such a good teacher and funny as heck. You are lucky if you get her!
she is literally the best English teacher in the school!!!!! She does not only taeach Literature, but also Grammar!! No one ever did in Countryside except of her. "and or no for so but yet" is my fave :) I'm gonna miss you Gerakios :( I wish I can be your student forever. Straight As all year long!!!
She's an amazing, kind, and funny teacher if you get her consider yourself extremely lucky she's awesome!
<3 She makes you want to be a better student. I know I'm not one of the best but she is certainly an amazing teacher. As well as an amazing person
One of the best teachers I've ever had, willing to help and teaches her students the things they need to know to succeed in life, not just what the county tells her to say like every other teacher. Very funny, keeps the classroom light. I love learning with her.
I had her for debate, and shes one if the best teachers I had, she has a unique way of making every student in class feel welcome. Whether it be nicknames, jokes, or just being friendly, after a few weeks, everyone seems to like her.
Ms. G was wonderful, and my quality of work improved greatly thanks to her. I certainly wasn't one of her "favorites" but I never noticed that take a toll on my grade. She just had a tendency to gravitate toward those students who were already good at what she was teaching.
She will yell at you, but in the end will be one of the best English teachers you could get.
Ms. Gerakios as a person is AWESOME. Yes, AWESOME... As a teacher, it's rough ride, but definately worth it in the long wrong.
ms. g is awesome and i loved her classes. "stop sucking"-ms. g
Ms. G was one of the best teachers I had in high school. She's tough and she is friendlier to the good writers, but she grades consistently, my grades steadily imporved all year to a 4 on the AP exam.
Ms. G can be annoying if you don't have any interest in school. If you just participate and try to enjoy the class it is a great class. Her material is hard but justly so.
Maria Gerakios is a great teacher. She keeps the class lively and certainly kept me interested. She knows her course material and knows exactly how to present it to willing minds.
Wonderful woman, great teacher, and if you know how to dish out comebacks she doesn't becaome your worst enemy, she knows you are a strong person.
I loved Ms. G when I was at Countryside. The best is when you see her tap dance! :)
Ms. G is the most amazing teacher ever. As long as you can take a joke and roll with the punches you will do fine in her class. She doesn't grade on kindness however, but the content of your work.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE "G." She is a phenomenal teacher and a loving person.
Ms. G is an awesome person, if you play along and respect her, you will do well. Also if you do your work that helps you too. She hates lazy people!
Ms. G taught me in drama freshman year and then in english senior year and they were the best classes ever... just do your work and you'll do great!
Mrs. G has a lot of passion for what she does. She is very inspirational
I haven't had u in class yet, but u seem really funny & disciplined. I wish u still did drama, I wouldnt get my little feelings hurt from a little instruction.
Teachers of her stature are im "short" supply J/K Loved the class
A terribly entertaining person. Very eccentric and quite informative. But is way too dependent on favoritism, not quality of work.
Ms. G. is great. She's a tough teacher, but she's atleast fair. She's a little on the eccentric side, but really keeps class interesting, and she cracks me up!!
She is a bit on the odd side but if you pay attention and do what she says you will do very well in her class. Her personality makes the class interesting to say the least
excellent in the classroom, but casts her plays based on favoritism, not talent
Best teacher I had. I'm the reason she stopped teaching seniors, though. Whoops.
3 classes '83,'84,'85 were a splendid experience! And STILL great today.
