Had her in the early 90's. Seems like she hasn't changed from what I'm reading. It's all true. She'd be better-off teaching at a junior-high in the 'burbs. I did like her, learned a few things, and also felt sorry for her.

Feel severely bad for her, she seems to love teaching, (for what reason I do not know, by looking at the way students treat her). People can easily cheat, deduct wrong answers by 1/8 of a point. She's out of date, severely.

Par/teacher confs ramble for 20 mins. As I waited forever, I heard her tell Asian father that all Asian kids look alike to her and asked to see photo. He showed her photo. Class too easy. learn little

Ms. Lorenzo is a good, easy teacher, although not sensitive to her environment of a high school classroom.

She spends 90% of class time going over hw that no one does, then starts the lesson at the warning bell. People are a bit harsh on her... Maybe she would teach if we listened? O_O

Very old lady, but also very friendly. Probably getting to be senile, but has tenure like noone's business. Lots of students take advantage of her. Definitely a pushover.

Stupid teachers' contract. I pity this poor lady, but the UFT's contract is keeping her here since 1961 and counting.

I agree with the previous person on feeling bad. She's not THAT bad of a teacher...

I feel sooo bad for her. She gets NO respect or attention from the students. She may be old and not quite sharp, but i hear she was a good teacher in her time.

C'mon, people! She really isn't that horrible a teacher. Alright, she is extremely lenient- but is that a BAD thing?

Take out the book during the test and blatantly copy from it. During the oral final, she is very likely to fall asleep. I got 100, and i cut most of the time.

Dotard in the full sense of the word. We are reviewing what we learned last semester- what I learned in 7th grade.

I was tempted to click "Retired/gone" on this fillout sheet. She may have been a good teacher in her time, but now her lessons are a joke....really.

Can't the school suggest-strongly-that she retire? Like not give her any classes and see what she does?

She's definitely too lax with the students, which is the main reason why they take advantage of her - cutting class, throwing erasers out the window...etc.
