I love Miz Ray, but she's retired! She made the Euro trip the best of my life. Thank you Miz Ray.
She needs to learn to be more accepting of other answers. She seems very stuck on what she believes, and refuses to accept any other viewpoint. Ms. Ray also doesn't understand personal space- I politely asked her not to touch me, and she accused me of being disrespectful. This happened multiple times, despite my explaining that contact makes me uncomfortable.
I just love her! Very nice and interesting although after you dont have any classes with her anymore she never says hi to you in the hall ways when you see her..
I've long since graduated from College and am well into the "real world". I still think about how great Mrs. Ray was, out of all the teachers I've had in college and high school...she's still easy in the top 3 of people that impacted my life.
An overall nice teacher. She doesnt like it if your tardy to class and does have favorties. But if you do your work and try to understand the material youll do fine.
She seemed to love me which helped me in the class because she picks favorites right away. She was a pretty good teacher but the only reason I got a 5 on the AP exam was because I bought Princeton Review and self studied. I think she gave too many political opinions and found it very hard at times not to say something about it in fear of jeopardizing my grade. I often times felt indoctrinated but I still liked her because she is fun and likes to have personal relationships with her students.
In all honestly don't expect an unbiased opinion from me because I absolutely love this woman. She may be the biggest influence on my life because she expanded my world view, changed my thought process, and shaped my ideals. I love her. The Euro Trip truly TRULY changed my life and she was an instrumental piece of that. In terms of teaching she knows everything about Europe. Period. She's an unquestioned expert. She also has a slight wit and humor that makes her incredibly entertaining.
I had miz ray for euro and global perspectives (lol). She is very nice but like many people, has a hard time really listening to new ideas. I sorta expected more out of a global perspectives teacher.
Great teacher loved AP Euro. Make sure you go on the AP Euro trip it honestly will change your life and she is so much fun on it.
LOVE MISS RAY. Honestly she says so many funny things and she keeps it really interesting. She knows everything about Europe you could ever want to know. Just be personable and show some character and
hahaha "gets it on with european dudes." people really like to talk s**t about her, but honestly I like the woman. her class is tough but listen and you'll be fine.
Very moody. Wonderful some days, other times very angry. Gets it on with European dudes.
very nice, i like i wish was more like ennis but shes good people give her 2hard o time 4 nothing
I think that she likes what she teaches, which is always important. Although i think she decides what kind of a student you are before you can prove yourself to her. Her test are difficult, but she has recently made a better effort to prepare us for them and i think that had definitely shown in our grades. Overall, i must admit that i learn a lot in each day of her class and she keeps it interesting.
she is EXTREMELY moody. i tried so hard to get on her good side, and prove myself "worthy" of being in her class, but it doesnt work. also, she will never admit she's wrong, and i hate that in teachers.
I like her because she loves what she teaches and that makes it more interesting.
She's pretty nice, but a is really out of it some days and the class suffers. She is wrong a lot, but won't take any other belief for an answer. AP Euro is very easy. Overall a decent teacher.
Good teacher, overall. There are a few things that annoy me that she does, like the uneven homework load, but no teacher is perfect. Although the class is not my favorite subject, I feel I have learned quite a bit and am well prepared for the AP exam. Good teacher, a bit eccentric, but that can be a good thing quite often. Aside from being a good teacher, she's a very nice person and will usually answer an honest question.
She forms favorites really easily...so be careful. Don't challenge her:EVER... she really hates that. A.P Euro only: Class itself seems like a waste of time to me, the reading is all that is needed and then we go on w/ unimportant things in class... hard to stay awake in. Biggest complaint: uneven distribution of noted-- 10 pages each day 3 days in a row, then nothing for a few days. I try to do notes before they are assigned to even it out.
too much useless homework and essays, if she doesnt like you from day one...you're screwed. p.s. if shes in a bad mood...look out
She's got great stories and is pretty knowing. Do all the work, including the reading!! The only problem is that she loves to pick favorites and it's harder if you're not one of them.
i like her...shes not as easy as she was before but sometimes i feel sad for her cause there a bunch of annoying kids in my class who always laughs when she says something wrong. but shes really sweet
In world history she wasn't effective due to a bunch of goof off's but she was better in AP Euro. Her methods are too childish for and AP class though and if she doesn't like you, idk. Good overall.
if she hates you, you will fail... and nothing will stop her from hating you from the first second she sees you
Really nice and helpful (Young People). Her southern drawl is pretty funny, but overall her class is pretty easy. Great teacher. Energetic
i had her for world history and she was the wordt teacher i had. she hated my class and told us so all the time. she was easy because she didnt want to deal with us. she scared me.
Pretty easy, painless AP class, any soph intresting in AP classes should take euro, kinda like a intro to AP...
Mrs. Ray is the best teacher at Sycamore I had, I can't say enough about her.
i adored her class, even though i wasn't too interested in some of the subject matter, and i wish i could take it again.
its your favorite and loudest student...see..this is what i REALLY think of you.
