Mr. Riese is a pretty nice guy and tells you what you need to study. Definitely would recommend taking his class.
Listen to his lectures and take good notes (don't just copy what he has, really try to understand the material). Great guy and you can always count on having a good laugh in his class.
Mr. Riese is the reason I started liking science. One of the best teachers I have ever had. Engaging, interesting, and challenging class.
Best teacher ever. he knows how to teach while being funny. He jokes around, roasts students, but still teaches the material needed to get an A on the exams. Everybody loves him. Tells funny stories, but still relates them to the lecture. My favorite teacher of all time. If you get him, you are lucky.
Class of 2020
Beneath a a shell of humor, is a teacher who is always trying to help his students get the best grade possible, even sacrificing his break time to help his students. Always very funny but to the point, if you are lucky enough to get put in Mr. Riese's class, then you are in for a whirlwind of bowel jokes. #Find-the-Cure #Diabetes-Type-1 #Keep-things-moving #Lots-of-Fiber
Insane guy. Great teacher.
The first time I met Mr. Riese (or rather the first time he made fun of me), I was scared of him, and so was everyone else. He seemed so intimidating at first. My seatmate was so scared of him, when Mr. Riese asked him his name, he whispered "I don't know" really quietly.
We are now about halfway into the 1st semester, and he is by far my favorite teacher. Class is an absolute blast with him. A quick tip, study a lot for exams (Honors). Good man. #SponchNation #KeepThingsMoving #Lard
Our class is reading some of these out loud right now....
Mr. Riese is the best. He is funny and he teaches well.
mr riese reminded me that grades are due soon so im giving him 5s. hes pretty funny tho
As a person, one of the best teachers I have ever seen. As a teacher, he's all right, but not nearly as in depth as Mr. Wong for Bio Honors.
He makes the class enjoyable and genuinely hilarious. He is a very likable person.
One day, the principal was walking by and he ACTUALLY asked for ice cream. 20 minutes later, we all were eating ice cream inside the class! Seriously! Ask anyone in 7th period Bio Honors 2015-2016!
If you're taking the SAT Bio, you're better off with Mr. W but R is goo !
All you have to do for homework is submit the same on every time. He honestly doesn't give a hoot about it. The tests are straight from the bio textbook and the first question is always the first sentence of that chapter. Makes jokes like a beast and is the skinniest guy I know that has diabetes.
Great teacher. Easy class. I recommend also reading the books for tests.
Funniest teacher i've met so far. I honestly laugh so much in his class i can't take him seriously when he teaches because he says a joke like every 5 min. You can't hate him because he is so funny and if you get picked on, don't take it personal it's just for giggles. He's probably the most chill teacher i know.
Basically plans out his jokes...makes fun of the students, doesn't teach, watch planet earth on fridays was the only good part of the class
He makes fun of me a lot but he's a good guy and the class is easy as long as you study for the tests. Overall a great class
Awesome class and extremely easy. Funniest guy I know, or one of them.
He was pretty cool! He liked picking on me but it was all good, just his way of having fun.
haven't learned anything really other than about diabetes
Yep, he was ridiculously funny! But the material was about as clear as mud. He's not a teacher, he's an in-class comedian. Since most people don't go to his class to learn, they don't have a problem. If you are there because you want to learn, and not just the surface stuff, seriously consider asking for another teacher. I didn't learn anything in this class. He hates questions about the material. How can you be a TEACHER and hate QUESTIONS? However, I HAVE heard that he's improved slightly recently.
funniest teacher i have ever had he is really sarcastic and makes fun of you but it is always in good humor and moderation. he is a really nice guy and class is always something to look forward to because it is so entertaining and funny
his Bio class and Bio Honors class are basically identical, only the tests for Honors are a lot tougher. Regardless, he's a funny teacher who knows how to keep kids interested in the material.
easy-going and funny. before starting a lecture he makes fun of something for like 20min and its hilarious! jokes about his diabetes. ask him about sports teams (Boise State) and why he hates rats
His class was hilarious. He made fun of his diabetes and you can never run for fun.
awesome guy and his class is easy. what he teaches is on the quiz or test. its not that hard
Ive always liked science and bio. i hated it when i got to Mr. Riese's class, he is funny, but he spends too much time playing spider solatie when he should be teaching.
More perfectly suited for Bellarmine than anyone I've met. My mentor for four years, Bio Hon. teacher for one. I'm not kidding when I say I used my memory of that class in BioAP.
prolly not the best teacher to go to for SAT prep...but his lectures really do help...and hes almost to his 5th gallon of blood! (or was it 4th?)
A really funny guy, who "incorporates" his teaching with some jokes and "insults" to students. Don't let his easy going nature fool you, though.
Funny man. Class is pretty easy. I was able to learn a decent amount of bio.
Read the book for the homework. Prepare for some second-rate, yet enjoyable stand-up comedy for the classwork.
I hate Bio. I'm dumb in Bio. He's the only reason i liked the class. He did make fun of me, saying the chances of me getting an A was zero.
