Schmidt is very very accommodating. He wants you to succeed and does not want to give bad grades. He is very fair and gives lots of opportunities to fix your grade. His first year of APUSH was difficult for him but preparing on your own and doing the book notes (not just quizlet) is a sad but true necessity if you truly want to pass the AP test.
Schmidt is honestly a great person. I feel bad for all the 9/11 jokes but he's really interesting and our class had great discussions. He's incredibly understanding with curving, work loads etc. He will actually listen and has a great sense of humor. I had him during the first year he taught AP US history though which was at my disadvantage just because he didn't really know what he was doing. I was unprepared for the AP test but that's also partially my fault. Great guy though.
Alright, Mr. Schmidt is a super smart dude but is not teaching a proper AP class. We should be practicing DBQs weekly and ACTUALLY GETTING THEM BACK. Also, he doesn´t give equal credit to all work. You can get 10 points for 3 hours of work or 10 minutes of work depending on the assignment. Tests are ridiculous and often times not central to anything discussed in class because he does not write them. If you do your work and read you'll be fine but work getting graded would be a cool asset.
Schmidt is a very lazy teacher... It takes ages to get anything back and I am very worried for my AP US history exam because I feel like I don't know anything. Even though I have an A in the class, no one does well in his tests because he doesn't teach the material to us and he ends up curving out of an absurd number. He's the only teacher for APUSH and its not too hard. Hope I do well for the AP test though.
He's a good nad bad teacher. Terrible at some things. He deducts 5 point from your grade every tiem you're absent, but he misses class on Fridays constantly for non-high school related water polo. His
Talks a lot, which gets boring, but it's a good class overall.
This class watches more movies than all the others combined. It's fun though. Just do the current events and keep up with your notebook.
takes a long time to pass back tests and essays.. at 1st seems lazy and boaring but in the end u will learn a lot! Easiest Honors class at VHS.. sometimes goes overboard with his theories on the U.S.
I had him in tenth grade for Honors World History. He is very clever, but only fairly organized. A very fun and relaxing class. Not a personal teacher, and does favor his swimmers.
Mark lets us write things on his white board, Yeah Mark!
very good guy and teacher, learned a lot and i hated history
Learned so much from him. He makes you think you hate his class but then in the middle of the year you're like "Wow, I know alot."
I don't know if I can churn out a clear, concise, and well-developed thesis on him, haha. Average at best, I guess.
Schmidt is a really good teacher... some days are better that others, but I am learning more that I have in any other history class.
He thinks that Stalingrad was the capitol of Russia... won't believe otherwise until he see's the special on A/E. He considers A/E to be his God.
