She is very patronizing toward her students and oftentimes it makes them very uncomfortable. She does a very good job of teaching when she lectures, but the random class activities and labs don't really help anyone understand the concepts. She spends a lot of time on things that aren't tested. Overall, I think she is knowledgeable on the subject and will help students if they ask, but is not generally inviting nor approachable.
Very good teacher and gets you to love bio. Hard tests but if you study well it is no problem.
shes an ok teacher. doesnt really teach in class but if you go after school or some other time with questions you'll learn the material. easy grader but tests are kind of hard. lots of reading and memorization
Mrs. Rall seems really nice, friendly and understanding, but in reality she is a fake and conniving person. She'll pretend to like you, but she'll secretly hate you and literally plot against you if you ask her for a letter of rec. Her class is tough in that it's a lot of work and tests are hard, but she grades everything fairly easily. She doesn't teach that much, and if she does it isn't that helpful--nothing you couldn't get from reading the book. A warning for the wise, BEWARE!
Great teacher. You gotta work hard for an a, but you learn a lot.
Mrs. Rall was possibly the best teacher i have had in my life and prepared me for the AP test so well. She is the best of the AP Bio teachers and if you get her, be thankful and prepare for a great year. Even though this was my favorite class and she cares for her students so much, by no means is it a cakewalk. There is alot of work and if you try, you will get an A and a 5.The class is challanging, but this is an AP class. Im very lucky to get such a great educator like her who cares for us
Rall is awesome! There's a lot of reading, but she explains things well and definitely prepares you for the AP.
Mrs. Rall is one of the nicest and funniest teachers you will ever have and she cares SO much about her students. The class itself is very laid back but there is definitely a lot of outside reading to do. She is always willing to help explain something better. Sometimes she doesn't explain everything in the reading so you're kind of stranded when it comes to knowing what to study for tests. You will learn a lot though, and the dissections at the end of the year are awesome (hint: cats & sharks!)
An amazing teacher. A slightly challenging class, but overall, worth the time. She thoroughly prepares you for the AP test and she is a great person who is always willing to help out when you need it!
ap bio was a fun class...the catalina trip was AWESOME!!! mrs. rall is a great teacher. she's supportive of students, though she is kinda paranoid about certain things. she tries not to impose her views on students and keep an open mind, and everything we do in the class is worth the time spent. no busy work like in regular bio. not too hard either.
AP bio was the easiest AP class i've ever taken! mrs. rall is ultra-cool
AP Bio was the easiest class I've taken at TP. The AP test is guaranteed 5. I don't know one person that got lower than 5 after her class. Rall is paranoid at times unfortunately.
I really liked Mrs. Rall, and she was very helpful. Coming from AP Chem, AP Bio was like heaven. However, it seems like she favors certain people over others, and I didn't really like that. However, the class is really easy, and her assignments are usually very meaningful and helpful. Some of the test questions are quite detailed and trivial, so it's not always easy to get As on her tests. But getting an A in the class itself is very easy. Overall, she's a helpful and good teacher.
I ADORE Mrs. Rall. She teaches the hardest AP class around and does a fabulous job. However, it's still a college class and it takes a lot of initiative (doing the work, asking questions). I still can't believe I passed the AP test, which says a lot about how prepared she makes you because I didn't ace the class.
She prepares you VERY well for the AP test. Although there can be allot of work at times, it is worth it to do; it is never busy work. She is very understanding of extenuating circumstances, and will make adjustments if needed; usually all you have to do is explain. She will always help you if you need it, again you just need to ask. She does a good job of maintaining a positive attitude and I think she realizes the effect it often has on students when a teacher does not at least try to be positive.
Shallow personality. Unreasonable and unclear class policies. lacks the professional demeanor to merit any respect. The way she favors certain people over others is unacceptable. I was gone due to a family emergency and she expected a weeks worth of HW and labs the day I got back, plus she expected me to take a test on material that i was not in class for. She had announced the test while I was gone, and expected me to know everything when I got back. Worst teacher I've ever had due to her unfairness.
mrs. rall is the nicest! she is so helpfull and is such an amazing teacher. easy to see she loves what she does. i think she's the best bio teacher there.
after coming out from ap chem (coordt) u don't feeling anything anymore, so she was really awsome in ap chem standard
Very helpful teacher, but seems to have a hint of disdain for me. Willing to help if you ask, and will explain confusing concepts.
only had her for regular bio....so nice and easygoing impossible to say something bad about rall!
AP Bio is a really difficult class, but Mrs. Rall is a fair teacher. You have to be very self-motivated, but she'll prepare you for the AP test.
Mrs. Rall is so nice. Her love for science is very contagious. I always enjoyed going to AP bio class. (espec. >AP tests :D)
I love Mrs. Rall! She is awesome and loves Biology, this shows when she teaches. The AP class is hard, but that is what is expected. I love bio because of her!
