She is very knowledgeable but is not very clear in what she is saying.
She gets angry very quickly and her quizzes are really hard. She doesn't teach, she just throws stuff on the board. She talks the entire time during a quiz and doesn't even answer the questions about the quiz. She expects us to know everything because we are honors and puts so much pressure on honors.
She knows a lot about the topics but she doesn't know how to teach. She'll give us slides and expect us to know it all. She's always buggin and yells at us for the most ridiculous things. All of her quizzes and tests are mad hard and they have graphs and charts that we've never seen before. She'll tell us about a quiz a period before and doesn't give us anytime to prepare.
She doesn't teach. She just throws the notes on the board and expects us to just learn it. She expects us to spend our whole nights studying. She always yells at us for talking and gets really annoyed. It's my lowest grade because I don't understand anything in the slides and she refuses to teach!
She puts notes on the board and expects us to know them all without teaching use the material. She thinks that just because we are honors, that we should know the material on the quizzes and test that she didn't teach yet. We get the notes on the subject after we take the quiz, and then after confronting her she acts surprised and acknowledges us but still fails to raise our grade. She seems to have sudden mood swings and outburst which makes the class terrified. To be continued...
She gives notes on slides and doesn't teach or explain them and expects us to know them. All her quizs and tests are from past regents and sometimes have information or diagrams we have never seen before. She wastes time daily with "The Bird of the Day." She never uses the textbook or workbook. Do not recommend at all
Mrs. Choma was a nice lady--when she wanted to be-- and oh so very cold the other half of the time. She's not evil like a lot of the teachers that work at that school but she doesn't know how to teach. Yes, she is very, very smart and she knows what she is talking about but she doesn't know how to convey it to students. I got 40s all year but still managed to pass her class (I think she inflates her grades)... Also do your homework it will be the only thing that saves you.
Wow! Mrs. Choma! I had her as a school teacher about 20 years ago! Kids, listen carefully and study hard. Mrs. Choma has a lot to offer you and can open your eyes and imagination to biology.
Great teacher. Students do very well. Can be a little "stuck up" at times but is a master at the subject. Politically it is easy to tell that she is very Democratic, and puts down the conseatives.
I haven't had Mrs. Choma since freshman year, but she was a great teacher. I loved bio. And I still talk to her today and she really is a nice person.
shes a great teacher who doesnt exactly make biology interesting..but names it easier to understand...
there's no class i dread more than bio. she bores us to death and expects us to know all the stuff.
Ms Choma, do you like Cheesey Pork? You can have my Cheesey Pork! I love you!!
Really cool, funny and a good teacher.. I heart Mrs. Choma
Ok, I am a junior and has Choma for 9th and 10th, and still talk to her regularly. That woman is an amazing lady, knows her stuff and is a great teacher.
Your a great teacher. Its not your fault if some are failing. Maybe you could ask some of your A students to help the failing ones.
Ms.CHoma is a great science teacher. Her class is educational and enjoyable. Thank you for making me more aware of the living enviroment.
good teacher sometimes makes things a lil confusing but still a good teacher. dosent nag you too much and an interesting sense of humor
I take back everything i said. You helped me for the mid-term by reviewing and i think i did good on it(jinx)
Why are people being mean? At first I disliked her but now I realize she's an excellent teacher who's smart and funny and kind. Go Mrs. Choma!
chomiester when everyone is doing bad in ur class most teachers see that as a problem... u should too
Mrs. Choma is a good science teacher, but she could get a little more wild with her classes. She is well-tempered and friendly.
Miss choma thinks we can write 100mph and listen at the same time. NO i think we should have A qiuz a week and start teaching
i think mrs. choma is a very smart woman, and she taught me a lot in bio. although she may lose her temper sometimes she really knows what shes talking about.
I don't understand why she isn't fired yet. I also don't understand how my hand doesn't fall off in bio large or why we don't petition for a new bio teacher.
I think Mrs. Choma is QUITE jaded and beyond caring about helping her students learning anything. It's either "you get, that's great" or "you don't, too bad."
she is one of my hardest teachers and im failing and she acts like i heard everything that she says before but i havent :/ She has to ease up and slow down
She is a nice person but the teacher part is not so great
this is my what is it eighth day of jfk and the worst class ive EVER taken is bio..its so incredible boring and the "teacher" cant teach
she was ok, i'm glad i have a real passion about science b/c i would have just blown off her class, but i would read the books she gave us to clarify anything.
She's a nice person, but needs to work on the teaching part.
not helpful at all. she never read our homework. we used to write random things like i hate bio for some of our answers and she didn't even notice.
