Lincoln at Gettysburg might be the worst book I have ever read. That being said, I definitely benefitted from reading it. There is a learning curve moving from English 10H to AP Lang, but once you adjust the class is really interesting and he has a lot of valuable advice about both writing and your education in general. I am far more prepared for college compared to my peers because of his class. He typically spends the first 7-8 minutes of class roasting students which is an added bonus.
he is the best teacher he gose to st benedict 31 or 30 students in my class he is so good at teaching i just want to be like him =) your welcome Mr d i wont forget you never ever :)
If you like to read interesting books, write well thought out essays, learn from lectures and explore new ideas, you will love Mr. Davidson. If you're some grade-chaser who only took Lang because they saw "AP" in the title, then you will generally dislike Mr. Davidson. I do agree that he can come across as pretentious and arrogant sometimes, but honestly it's all in good fun. If you work hard, care about what you produce and sit with him one one one, you will benefit from his class.
Great guy. He's a little strict at times, but he has a great sense of humor and is just overall really funny.
Mr. Davidson is amazingly intelligent. The man is a genius. He goes out of his way to give his students the best and most effective learning experience possible
Lowers your grade too much if you don't have your homework, but then he isnt very clear when he says there is homework. He also gives a lot of busy work.
laid back, smart, really helps you improve. tough to get good grades though. is very manipulative (both in conversation and in writing) and is, unfortunately, intelligent enough to pull it off.
Egotistical, opinionated, stubborn, doesn't respect student opinion. I didn't like his sarcastic style of teaching/restricted learning environment. On the plus side, really makes you earn the grade.
funny guy but when writing a paper, theres only one answer. i wish he was more open minded.
my best teacher. really smart and funny. we can spend a whole class talking about random stuff. really laidback.
very smart and funny, he knows what hes talking about. But the problem is that he knows that hes smart and it gets to his head
love him. i have him for AP lang & comp and we get off topic soooo much but i still feel like im learning a lot. and he's so funny, sarcastic funny, but funny. definitely a great teacher
Seriously, one of the smartest teachers I know. I learned more than just English this year in his class. Definitely unconventional, both in his teaching and sense of humor, but I'm glad I had him.
Feels quite a bit like a history course in the feel of the class, he actually pays attention to the unlike every other english teacher i met.
he tells you to have an opinion, then he totally disregards it if he decides that he doesn't like you.
Once you've gone through "Hell" you will see it was worth it. Just work hard and always state your opinion. In the end, you will be incredibly prepared.
you'll claim you hate him but that's just because people in pittsford are too scared to have their own opinion. you'll really appreciate him after you've finished the year. demands respect. he shows he likes you by picking on you.
he challenges his students to work hard. and even though it may see like he teases you its only because he wants to be your friend
Picks on us but you can tell he likes us. Demands respect
One of the hardest teachers you'll ever have, but he's good
mr. davidson can be very funny , but rips students apart a lot
haha, yes mr. davidson. you deffinatly smile when u r pleased with yourself!
