Mr. Salzman will be the reason you are ready for Spanish 4/5 with Lange or Cruz. Salz knows what he's talking about and is a great and funny teacher. If you don't listen to his advice and study you can "say goodbye to Hollywood"
Salzhombre knows his sh*t and is probably the funniest teacher I've had. His class isn't easy but if you put in the work you'll be fine. If not, say goodbye to Hollywood.
Mr. Salzman is not only the greatest Spanish teachers I have ever had, but also one of the greatest teachers in general. For some students it may be easy to let some of the information in the class go "over the head," but if you are involved in the class and you complete all of the work, you will discover that Mr. Salzman is one of the funniest, smartest people that you have ever met. I have bonded greatly with Mr. Salzman this year, and I find his sense of humor hilarious and genius. 10/10
Salzhombre is the bomb.com. Expect a ton of studying and homework, but it will pay off because he is one of the only Spanish teachers that can actually teach at this school.
salz is a straight savage. best spanish teacher ever for real for real. He really teaches you stuff and if you pay attention and do your work you will be able to get a good grade. If you have him you are super lucky
Mr. Salzman is so fricken lit. He is super funny and sometimes he just goes off on tangents and it's kinda hard to pay attention but like oml he is a savage 10/10 would reccommend just like don't slack off because hw (he calls it hw not homework) is 10 formative points and you have to memorize your vocab but he's super hilarious oml
I had Mr. Salzman as my Spanish teacher maybe 15 years ago (wow, has it been that long). Just wanted to say that he was a great teacher, obviously memorable and, as long as you do your work and put in the effort, you'll get along with him. He's sarcastic and has a great sense of humor that only makes his class more enjoyable. From the ratings, it looks like a lot of people would agree. Keep it up, Mr. Salzman!
As a decent Spanish student, I expected Hon Spanish 3 to be simple and cookie-cutter (just like w/ 1 & 2). Mr. Salzhombre isn't your typical cookie-cutter teacher though. He bombards you with worksheets, Spanish sentences, and translations. Don't get me wrong, this helped me a lot, just expect lots of HW. The class is easy, though; HW is formative and the quizzes and tests are formatted the same each unit. If you put in the work, you'll see how great he is & how much he cares about his students.
Dis manz is the most savage quickscoper to exist in this worlds. He also cna put any manz to shame with un simple say goodbye to hollywood. Also, salzdaddy is a legend with the ladies around the corner so I recommends the dankest of memes to be ur next spanish teacher. Kappa
His Spanish class is probably the only Spanish class I ever felt motivated to do well in, but it was also very challenging. He creates all his materials though, its crazy how much work he puts in for his students-one would realize what I mean when you see his packets. NOTHING is from the textbook. The disclaimers he puts on his packets make me feel that he could've been a lawyer in another life. Also "say goodbye to hollywood" lol. Overall engaging, motivating and informative.
Very knowledgeable, knows what he is talking about. If someone writes a negative review about him they are either too stupid to be taking honors Spanish, or too lazy.
very dank. much knowledgeble. very joking, dank dank dank
He is unbelievably difficult, and assumes that his class is your only class. Over loads you with work that is impossible for the class you are in. His grading of tests is insane, and takes off points for any little mistake. Spanish has been my easiest class for 3 and a half years, and now, with him as a teacher, is my hardest class.
Salzhombre's class is one of the best classes i have ever taken. His sense of humor is so bad but hilarious at the same time, he works really hard to help you succeed and is generally very genuinely caring. HIS CLASS IS SO EASY. The tests may be kinda difficult but (almost) all of his homework assignments ARE FORMATIVE POINTS. Literally a quiz is 20 formative points and a homework assignment is 10 formative points. 2 days of homework = 1 quiz. Just ALWAYS do your homework!
PAssionate and a wonderful foreign language teacher.
Very knowledgeable of the material and puts in incredible effort and dedication to prepare the students for future Spanish classes. He was really helpful in making sure you understood the material. However, I'm probably one of the few students who didn't really like his slapstick-like humor and sometimes groaned at the tediousness of some of the assignments (especially on busy days).
Probably the best foreign language teacher I've had in my life, he is funny, smart, knowledgable of the material, and an outgoing teacher who puts a lot of time and effort into his classes.
Really Funny and love the class
Really funny and helpful teacher, best Spanish teacher I've had
The smartest man on the planet. I have grown to be good friends with this guy. The best foreign language teacher. All the other Spanish teachers are mentally unstable except this guy. I love him to death. My favorite teacher ever. He is helpful knows his stuff and his packets are used now by me in AP spanish
Salzman is a personable teacher that cares about his students and will always make time for them. He has about 1 quiz every week or two, and if you study for about 30 minutes it is super easy to ace. Best spanish teacher I've had so far
Great, he explain everything well y ahora mi espanol es mejor que mi espanol cuando yo era nino. :)
Mr. Salzman is hilarious... he's really thorough with his teaching so everything is laid out right in front of you. Definitely a unique guy
Mr.Salzman is an interesting person but he is an extremely hard teach who can be an absolute ****. You don't want him as your teacher!
Very scary at the beginning of the year because of his unique behavior. This actually helps to keep the class interesting and if you work hard and do homework, you will be rewarded with good grades and a strong exam grade. Proud to say that I had hi
hes a good teacher but SO HARD. and wierd. he makes a lot of joke that we dont get and they dont help. he should stop grading so much and learn better jokess
He explains everything very thoroughly but he is such a harder grader. I studied an hour for each of his 10 question quizzes. Just don't be afraid to ask for help because he is pretty understanding. I would be screwed if I didn't have after a semeste
Mr. Salzman is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He takes his job seriously but is also a very fun guy. Salzhombre, if you ever see this... MIAMI SUCKS!!!
values time, effort, and accuracy...which always pays off for self benefit too!! mr.salzman is the best teacher ever...you really do learn the language. rarely you find a teacher as dedicated, persistent, and hardworking as he is.
Very very dedicated to his work, and always on top of things. He's hard working and expects the same of every student. Salzhombre!
Got to say, his class is incredibly difficult. But when you stick through it, he really is such a good- the only good Spanish teacher at Wootton. Sure, he made me want to cry while I had him, but I don't know where I would be without him.
He's an amazing teacher. Truly cares about how his students do in the class and really gets to know them. Gives a lot of homework, but it's worth it. You actually learn spanish and you get to higher spanish you'll wish to have him again.
He's annoying, lame, demanding, he acts like you should only care about his class, he's not approachable and as a person i would want to shoot him in the face, but he's the best teacher i've ever had. still hate him though
Haha. love this guy. best spanish teacher i ever had. plusss... staying on his good side is fun :)
Salzman is great. I am in his class; tons of work -- but he knows how to teach. I've heard there is no better teacher than him in spanish. However, make sure you try your hardest, and then he will respect you. If you need help -- ASK!
Hard working, always has his grades up on the day we take the tests, and extremely dedicated and fair. Yes, he is a hard grader but he teaches well and in depth. You will wish you had him again when you go to 4/5 with Cruz..
His class is very hard. And it's really stressful to deal with freshman year, but he cares about his students and he's a good teacher. He is a really nice and funny person, too.
He's the most hard-working teacher I've ever had!! Unfortunately, he is also the hardest..
I <3 MR. SALZMAN. Honestly, if you take the time to do all the homework, make flashcards for all the quizzes, it's not really that hard of a class. He's the best spanish teacher ever-I have a good grade AND I'm learning, what more could you want?
hard as hell, but thats because he tries to over prepare you. if you try and do ALL the work he assigns, then u will have a command of the language. HE KNOWS WHAT HES DOING. his command of language is impressive, and he loves teaching and kids
I think that everyone on here that put a bad rating probably flunked his class and are just pissed about it. Listen up guys, the dude knows what he's talkin about, and yes he gives tons of hw, but DEAL WITH IT. This class will TEACH YOU SPANISH.
Gives a LOT of homework. but i guess in the end it's helpful. He has an odd sense of humor and often tells jokes that are so bad, they're funny. He puts a lot of work into teaching and it pays off when his students learn a lot.
I LOVE Mr. Salzman, he's SUCH A GREAT TEACHER and even though he gives out so much homework it really helps you in the end. :) Honors Spanish 3 isn't that bad, I think it's one of my favorite subject. :D
if you are taking honors spanish 3 it is very difficult with Salzman. i would recommend taking regular unless you are planning to take spanish 4/5 the following year. I HATE HIS PACKETS!!!!!!
amazing teacher! although the class may start out hard with "lots of homework" you get used to it and it is really beneficial. just try your best in his class and you should pass :)
this class is VERY hard..i would take regular Spanish 3
He cares about his students. He knows spanish well, and it shows, but his class is quite the challenge. I recommend taking ON-LEVEL spanish 3 because his class is really hard.
If you are going into Spanish 4/5 believe me you NEED his class first. Some nights I still pull out his packets to help me on the homework Tasat never taught us how to do. Plus he's funny and awesome.
most amazin teacher ever.gives a lot of work, but it really teaches you a lot and it helps w/ grades.i didnt really like him @ frst but after 2 yrs of his class i loved him-good teacher and funny
BEST SPANISH TEACHER EVER. you learn a lot from him. he's also a very fair person.
He works very hard but he's on the intimidating side. He gives a lot of homework and his jokes are somewhat corny.
he's nice but I think the other teacher who teaches Spanish 3 honors knows more about culture and linguistics. I felt so intimidated in his class, too. The other teacher makes me feel comfortable and I can learn Spanish easier in his class
probably one of the most hardworking teachers i have ever had...u will leave his class so educated in spanish you wouldn't believe it yourself. This teacher will to the extra mile to make sure u understand everthing!
GREAT TEACHER! always gets stuff done in class unlike some other teachers. strict but funny at the same time. actually gets what he's teaching into the heads of his students, and he puts a lot of effort into his work. really cares about his students and will go the extra mile to help them understand. U ROCK SALZHOMBRE:)
Sooooo funny. He cracks me up. But he's also a good teacher and you'll probably know a lot more Spanish when you leave his class because he's more about being able to use it than getting good grades. Granted, he gives A LOT of work, but I suppose it's worth it. Maybe.
I didn't think his class was too hard but I knew a lot of people really struggled. He was a good teacher (especially with grammar) but I hated his class because he made people feel really uncomfortable and he can't stand math/science kids. Sometimes goes on tangents that students don't care about. Also had some sort of weird uber-rivalry with Ms. Jacobs and it was hilarious to watch them interact.
he's hilarious and a great teacher, he puts a lot of effort into helping his students and actually cares. Hes definetly the best teacher I've had so far
haha salzman is hilarious. he makes class fun plus he makes sure that we do work thats challenging. he makes sure we know everything we need
Slazman is the greatest teacher ever. He is a PERFECT example of a teacher who actually enjoys their job. He puts a lot of effort into what he does, and unlike many teachers he tries to teach so that ALL his students will understand and remember the lesson. He knows all his students and it is almost as if he can read minds, because if you dont understand something he Knows and he wont wait for to you to find him. You may think he is hard but he gives us all this work to help us
Salzhombre is easily the best teacher in the school! He actually cares whether his students are learning and makes sure that everyone fully understands the material. Although its a lot of work you come out of the class knowing everything, plus he's hilarious
he puts a lot of effort in =] and i respect him so much for working so hard unlike other teachers that are like whatever. He is really messy with notes and all but he is still a very good teacher. His projects are fun too! but he is a challenging teacher. His humor makes me like him more =D
This guy can teach. If you cooperate youll understand spanish perfectly.
Mr Salzman is one of the best teachers i have ever had. If he tought anything else he would be good at it. While he is hard, you actually learn how to speak the language. He is not the typical government worker teacher. He cares about the people and how they learn, and talks to them if they have a problem. I went AAA because of his teaching. There was never anything that he didnt sufficiently explain.
salz is seriously the best span teacher ive evr had. and i like the hw he gives cuz it actually helps me...unlike some othr span teachers... wont mention names butyaknowwhoimean
good teaching skills, but too much class and home work. less work more teaching.
although he gives absolutely INSANE amounts of work, he is a really good teacher and i really good person. He is easy to talk to and always willing to help.
coo guy. u may think hes hard at first but believe me "you have" opportunities.
fun but hard class talks too fast jokes are over used. one time he made us do a conjugation chart on 60 verbs and was due the next day just get on his good side
His class is extremely hard, he's scary during orals, but he's so funny with his impressions.
hes really good at making people understand spanish but his projects require SO much of your time! plus his jokes are not funny after he tells them over and over again.
Definitely the hardest spanish teacher in the school, but you learn the most from him. Summer is about to end and I still remember Spanish! THAT'S AMAZING.
spanish to him is like a student's math and science class combined. his class is soo hard, he needs to make it easier, other wise hes a really cool and korny
Mr. Salz is THE BEST teacher I have had... the only other person that comes close in the category of humor and helpfulness is Mr. Nolan... Mr. Salzman is GREAT!
he's really funny and although the class is hard to teach, he does a great job of keeping people interested as well as helping us to learn
omg, mr. salzman is the coolest person ever and the best spanish teacher ever! he gives a lot of work, but it really does help you! i learned so much from him!
The Salz's pretty cool, and he's a great teacher. He's serious about making sure everyone tries their best in class and understands the material.
he's a great teacher, u just have 2 warm up 2 him, but what's with all of those packets that are like 40 pgs long and we only do 2 pgs of it. ur wastin trees!!!
great spanish teacher even though he is hard. NOBODY CAN BEAT THE SALZ!!!!!
He is the task master. 85 verbs in a teeny chart is one night's homework, very tough but the info definately gets across.
hes a good teacher, but his jokes get kinda old after he says them 3232895250 times... plus his projects and skits require wayy to much of your time
hes a good teacher yet he confuses his students. Sometimes he picks os some students and makes them feel like trash..!!
really funny, and is definitely the best spanish teacher at Wootton
Mr. salzman is awesome. he's always serious about helping people after school and during lunch and as long as you try, he will know it.
When he got bored he started talking really fast and making jokes, sometimes you cant tell the difference between learning and his jokes. All I can say isI'm out
Cool and funny, but if you don't understand Spanish you're screwed in this class. "Alright, shutup." Whooooooooosh. (flicks hand over head)
Even though i got a C in the semester grade, i learned the most for him. The only teacher i've had that i actually think cared about how i did in his class.
Attitude, attitude, and more attitude. He reeks of attitude more than Marks does, and that's saying something, but I'll give him this - he has more maturity, way more maturity than Marks does. All in all, Salz is witty, sardonic, and intelligent. He can t
Salzy says: I'm not going to tell you your grades because I want you all to fail.
ok u people are so evil. mr salzman is the best teacher. he teaches so well n he is funny.face it, the reason why you dun like him is cuz u ppl stinkat spansih
He's hard but lets face it, hes the only spanish teacher ive had (and ive had 'em all) that i got an A with!! You'll learn with him!!
I think different kids take his humor differently and i personally think it's cool 2 have ateacher who can make students laugh but mm he knos how 2 teach well
salzman is just about the hardest teacher i have. his jokes are... well, unique . but he tries. thats good. but well, he really grades hard.
