Mr. Ellington is a phenomenal teacher. My kid got a five on the AP exam thanks to him. He knows what he is teaching and I found when I met and talked to him, he was a very knowledgeable teacher and willing to do what it takes to help our students succeed. I read a comment this was his second year teaching APUSH but my student, who is a friend of his child says he's taught the class for 18 years. He also reads the AP exams and I've heard works with Collegeboard. He is a great teacher.

I have a student who has struggled in the class, but after meeting with Mr. Ellington I have found him to be a sharp and knowledgeable teacher. He is obviously very experienced and never fails to put in time to make sure the students succeed. He is a wonderful teacher.

I find Ellington to be very knowledgable about history and seems to want his students to succeed. However his class consists of lectures about the chapter and then worksheets. I do understand this practice in the sense that APUSH is a very individual class.

Mr. Ellington is an awesome teacher!! I love his class and even though a lot of people are scared of him because he can be a little strict, he is actually pretty funny and nice. Asking questions really does help and he always is willing to help, you just have to ask the right kind of questions.

Mr. Ellington has been really helpful in guiding his students to understand what is going to be on the AP exam, I know that he got a lot of people in trouble for what he said was cheating and people got upset but he does seem to care about the preparedness of his students and his lectures make everything a lot easier to understand.

Mr. Ellington is great, I would recommend him to anyone who wants the challenge. He lectures clearly on every chapter and the document based analysis worksheets are really helpful. the people who say he doesn't lecture are probably just frustrated that they are weak students and don't do everything he says. it is an AP class, you cant expect it to be east but Mr. Ellington is great.

Mr. Ellington is one of the better teacher's I have had throughout high school. Unlike some, he actually cares about the students and what they learn, but he doesn't try to personally bond with them. Be sure to look at every detail your book lists because, chances are, he'll put the smallest details in his exams. Overall, I give him a 8/10, cares for his students and tries to teach.

Apparently Mr. Ellington has been spending most of class time on his computer for years and he is still doing that, unfortunately. I honestly don't know what he stares at for 99% of class that's on his computer screen. Anyways, he does not spend enough time teaching and never makes sure that the students understand the subject. Sadly, he is the only APUSH teacher and probably the only history teacher that wastes most of his time not teaching. He s also very arrogant and has a huge ego.

I think he's a good teacher when he actually gets up and teach. I look forward to lecture days. All the days between lecture days are spent doing OBVIOUS busy work while he stares into his computer.

He is ok, gives a lot of work but what can he do? There's nothing a teacher can really do to teach you history, there's no formulas or anything like that, so its either if you apply yourself or not.
