I took Mrs. Botton for both 11th grade English, and Relevancy/Myth&Folk. She is quite obviously more passionate about the latter, but nonetheless, taught both flawlessly and is overall a very kind, intelligent, and very likable teacher. She is realistic, flexible, and inspirational. She does not assign a large amount of homework, but does often give out a lot of busy work in class. Her exams are noticeably harder than the classwork, but if you do what you're supposed to in class, you'll be fine.
Bottom line, if you want to pass her class with a decent grade, you will. You've got to do all of the reading and study questions if you want to pass. Or just google the answers for her study questions... She tries really hard to invoke deep discussion with her students but that would do better in an AP class because everyone in her Relevancy class just sit around like mutes and say nothing. Most people complain she gives "too much work" because they think "seniors" means "do nothing."
Although I am failing her class at the moment, Mrs. Botton is very helpful. Especially because I am a senior, she is truly willing to help me. She's pretty much my favorite teacher
Had her last year and she's a really good teacher, her class is easy to pass and allows people to get up and talk to each other when done with all work.
AWESOME teacher! My second year with her! Gotta love your first period Mrs. Botton.
i guess meg is pretty cool. her class is easy and we dont do much but i guess its helpful in some way. she always seems unhappy. she talks weird, like she's taken too much dayquil. she doesnt really smile and she's not energetic. but she's still cool. although, you're always gonna think she's angry at you or something, but that's just what her natural face looks like.
