As a past student of the 05 class, I can honestly look back and say Mr. Farley was probably one of the best teachers I had in high school. I always enjoyed his methods of having kids explain the connotation/denotation of the study subject to basically convey whether or not we fully understood what we read. He's a no b.s. kind of guy. He will not baby you; he will not pressure you into learning what you show no interest in. He taught self initiative and challenged us daily.
A strange person indeed but a fantastic English teacher. Knowing how to write well before walking into his class is a plus but not a necessity, you can always ask him for help and he will tell you exactly what you need to do and what you're doing wrong. If you're not a strong writer and do not ask for help, however, he'll give you the poor grade you deserve. There's no getting around it.
Excellent English teacher which will definitely help you improve your writing and understanding of texts. His class is difficult for some, but if you have carefully developed your writing skills over the years you wont have a problem. Ask him for help if you have difficulty in his class! Some people do not do this and end up struggling the entire year when they could have just asked to markedly improve.
He picks favorites...and if you're not one of those favorites...you're screwed
Mr. farley gets bad rep but he's actually a good teacher. He is always willing to discuss with students and gives helpful guidelines to being a good writer. It's just up to people to take his advice
Good if you already know how to write, but unless you switch in from a different school you probably won't (because 9th grade was English pretty bad too). Doesn't teach. Free period classes if no ther
A lot of people dislike him. To pass his class, you need to have natural writing skills. . Like me.
I personalyy thought that he was a great teacher learned alot from him.. first year i had him was tough but second year was the best
Farley is awesome if you already know how to write an essay, he doesn't make you do uncessary work and gives you just the right amount of practice. He's not for everyone though.
Farley's cool he's really helpful and is really direct
