Hazeltine is a god amongst men. Hazeltine is by far the greatest teacher you can possibly have.

Mr. Hazeltine is one of those teachers who is qualified in the sense that he knows what he's talking about... But he doesn't really do a good job of reaching his entire audience. It's really easy to get left behind in his class, even when you take extra steps to learn on your own time or check the notes on the website. AP is meant to be challenging, but this is by far my hardest class. I don't really recommend it!

Mr. Hazeltine definitely means well and is a great guy, but he isn't clear with his instructions or his assignments. Most classes he will just call on the same few kids over and over again that he knows already know the answer, and end up leaving anyone who gets lost in the dust. He skips steps or makes connections without explaining how or why he made such connections/steps, and if you get lost you'll end up wanting to pound your head on the table. If he was more clear, he would be great.

If you're gonna work, are enthusiastic about the material, and lucky enough to have a good mathematical mind, you're going to get through the course with a B easy. If not, I highly recommend a tutor. You'll understand all the math pretty well if you are excelling at AB calc, and you'll be right at home if you're in BC. He's not great at teaching the material and can leave a lot of students in the dust, but if you really want to learn the material you'll find a way to catch up. Not best or worst.

The person below is just extremely upset because of his poor study habits and terrible people skills. H. is a great guy who has helped me in the past with tremendous struggles, many of which including Heroin. Only after meeting H., and going through the rigor that this course has to offer, was I able to grow as a student, and more importantly as a human being. Mr. H is the man.

Mr.Hazelmean, as he is known to people in our class. He doesn't care about teaching, most days he will just tell us stories of him kayaking and we end up teaching ourselves.

AP Physics with him is a mess. As a class that's already incredibly challenging for the majority of people, it only gets more difficult with his muddled explanations and open-ended assignments. He's a really nice guy, but his teaching does not lend itself well to AP Physics.

If i could choose again, I would never take ap physics with him. Because I don't want to get a BS grade after making so much effort. He never understands that we are still in high school...not college

He should quit teaching. His teaching is so bad that its useless. The only thing that we can do to get good grades is to study everything ourselves.

Without a doubt the worst teacher I have ever had. Explains nothing clearly and his tests are impossible to prepare for. Also, is not clear on assignment requirements or due dates. Really nice guy, but should not be teaching.

Mr. Hazeltine is a great guy... but he is a horrible teacher. He is always available for extra help, but those sessions are usually packed because he is so unclear in his lessons. It is very hard to follow his teaching style.
