Absolutely terrible teacher. Extremely confusing and absurd policies. Some of his final unit assignments/projects were actually really cool but his busy work and lack of personality cancelled this out. He wastes so much time on reading our assignments out loud or going over things that no one asked to do. Not a hard class to get an A in if you simply complete the work.

Very very very difficult teacher. Impossible to work with and even more lazy than some of the elective teachers, he is incapable of working even the slightest bit. He takes pleasure in screwing over students, has very strict and confusing rules and makes every single issue personal. One of the worst and most stressful classes I have ever had.

He doesn't ever give you a clear answer. He leaves in the middle of class, often multiple times in a day, for up to ten minutes. His teaching style is very vague and often leaves student floundering in confusion and frustration. He also doesn't follow the curriculum and teaches from a journalism perspective.

Mr. Smith's class is absolutely not for everyone. Often he will over load his students with work, but it is worth it. I learned more in one semester of Michael Smith's honors language arts class than I did in five years of middle and high school language arts.
Sometimes he can be slightly disorganized, but based on feedback from my peers, he has taught the willing learner in his class more than any other teacher at the same level.

Mr. Smith is one of the worst teachers I've had. He didn't grade some of our essays from early in the school year until the end of the semester, and he told us about a huge final project we had a week before it was due! He's really neglectful and pretty rude, and oftentimes vague.

Mr. Smith is probably the worst teacher I've ever had. He is rude, ignorant, and unintelligent. He has a few favorite students, who can get away with anything and is rude and harsh to all others. He calls out students in front the class and personally insults them

He has absolutely no idea how to teach an advanced language arts class. He is incredibly useless in the helping aspect of teaching, and if you have the unfortunate luck of getting him switch out ASAP

I personally dislike Mr. Smith because he condescends to all of his students. His actions reflect a higher-than-thou attitude. Example: He once repeated a student's question in a high pitched voice.

Gives some assignments that are pointless such as annotating an entire 600 page book, but he can be nice sometimes

He is one of my favorite teachers. He's a funny guy and has a sence of humor, something not all teachers have. He serious when he wants the class to learn stuff, but jokes around when he's done.
