Great teacher, disproves the "those who can't do" stereotype. Makes a mean Batman (for Halloween).
One of the best teachers in Stuyvesant. Enough said
He is an amazing teacher. However, he's someone who won't spoon-feed material to you. He will show you things exist and expect you to meet him half way and do some work because he understands that there is no better way to learn than by doing when coding. I had him for five semesters throughout my time in Stuyvesant and there is no other man like him. If you have the pleasant opportunity to take his course, consider yourself blessed.
Z is basically the #1 reason to go to Stuy.
Bad teacher -- does not teach concepts needed to do the work. All over the place.
This man made me love Computer Science. He's funny, interesting, passionate, and extremely competent. He'll not only teach how to program, but also show that it's cool to be a CS student. Very chill teacher and will make class very fun for his students. Mr. Zamansky, or Z, as we call him, is the epitome of the type of teacher you'd expect at a school like Stuyvesant.
Mr. Z is such a great teacher... he makes CS really fun and he's really chill. And remember, zombies are people too!
I've never had this much fun in a class before. Gotta love CS and Mr. Z- he's very fair, entertaining, and teaches well.
Mr. Zamansky helped me out whenever I needed. He's a great compsci teacher and all the sophmores are missing out cause as of 2011 he only teaches the AP course.
Mr. Zamansky is among the best teachers I have ever had. He's one of those types who, although has his random tangents, he knows how to get back on topic and teach his class. Very funny, relaxed, and
He's a really nice guy! and i thought he explained it really well. He tries to be funny (sometimes he is) but he's all about making sure that you understand. Dont be afraid to ask if you dont know!!!!
"Mike, you are awesome! Plus, you hired me. :)"
Mr. Z IS pretty awesome
Pretty good teacher, gives good assignments to make sure you understand the material. Very helpful. Really funny and tells entertaining stories too.
goes off topic sometimes but his stories are funny. nice guy
Cool teacher, knows his material. But if you don't have a decent understanding of cs going into his classes (ap and beyond), you'll be totally lost. Seems to play favorites.
well unless you can read 2 pages of code in 5 seconds you will get lost at some point in his ap java class.if you dont understand something just ask him and he will take his time and explain, so funny
A great teacher. Anybody who says he doesn't explain things well just isn't paying attention.
Not a great teacher (he tends to skim over stuff too much) but he's hilarious. His Halloween costumes are amazing.
He skips over explaining some stuff and it just leaves me with... "Huh?!" He's really funny, but I catch people falling asleep a lot.
really nice sweet guy. however, i have him for APCS and i feel like he doesn't teach the actual language enough.
hes a good compsci teacher, very good at explaining things, i think its just me thats bad at paying attention. i like his stories too, theyre funny
Doesn't exactly teach. If you sit in the back of his room, you can't see anything he does on the main computer at all unless you move up, which when you actually get back to your seat, he already typed another page of code.
yo mr. granovskiy i cant believe you stil post on this about zman
Zman is cool. A high grader. But he doesn't really teach.
hes so great! really interesting intro to comp sci class b/c he makes it fun. great sense of humor. knows his stuff. talk to him and ur good
Mr. Zamansky is so cool! He tells jokes everyday, finds ways for us to have fun, and keep computer science interesting. I love him.
