Ms. Fontaine is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Ms. Fontaine is always willing to help you out as much as she can, and she is very knowledgeable on both the language and the culture. She works hard to make the harkness table a comfortable environment that you can make mistakes in. Also, she makes it fun and really enjoyable.
Her class dragged down my GPA at PEA, but I rode things out because I wanted to learn Chinese. Sure, my Chinese classes at Stanford were better, but Ms. Fontaine got the ball rolling, and was extremely patient with us clueless folks.
she just isn't a good teacher. she talks about lots of useless stuff and we didn't really learn anything important
What a kind-hearted teacher and woman, but she is just not a good teacher. I barely learned in her class. She does not organize her lessons and seems to assign tests/quizzes totally out-of-the-blue.
ms fonatine is by far my favorite teacher at exeter. as long as you are enthusiastic about the class, she will undoubtedly love you. i cannot recommend her highly enough.
Abnormally chill and tells lots of interesting stories that have some kind of remote relation to Chinese culture, but never really tought me anything. It pisses me off.
The worst teacher I've ever had. Picks favorites, doesn't grade fair, class is a joke, and no one respects her.
Learned NOTHING, except where she got acupuncture. Just pray she likes you, because she certainly doesn't base grades on the nonexistent tests or quizzes.
such a great person, class is a little slow sometimes but is overall pretty fun. she goes off on a LOT of tangents...
