Mona has been my teacher for three years now (soon to be four) and she really becomes a trustful and caring figure in her students' lives. As a person she is so sweet and very personable. As a teacher, many people have mixed feelings because the way she teaches is very unorthodox. As long as you're always prepared for anything when you walk into her class, it's not that hard. I have managed to get an A in every semester I have had with her because I try. Don't take French if you slack off
she will give a test then on test day she will flip the test 180 dagrees and you will fail the test because she gave you a test that you have no idea how to do.
Mona is the most fluent and knowledgeable language teacher I've ever had, BUT she contradicts herself alot. Depending on her mood, she can be the most rude, unfair, and intimating teacher on earth; or the kindest, funniest, chilled out teacher ever. Ive cried about this class more this year than i have in the past 4 years about anything. She has her favorites and its easy to tell who they are. If ur not her favorite, she makes it known. Things will be10x worse for those who aren't favorites tbh.
ok, her class is pretty hard, but I can say I learned a lot from her. Overall a good teacher
I heard that she's a good teacher and she'll help you learn above and beyond
I don't like Mona too much, she lets feelings get in the way of how she teaches and assigns projects. Mona picks favorites, will annoy you sometimes, horrible - horrible, horrible - with technology. There are some highlights, but not enough.
Mona is a teacher unlike any other. It takes a while to understand her teaching style, but once you do, you realize how cool she really is. Most kids come out of her AP class as fluent speakers, writers, and readers. She can be a bit eccentric sometimes, but if you have some patience with her, you will see how great she is. Sometimes it's difficult to understand what she means when she speaks English, but if the entire class sticks together, it will be a great year. Don't be lazy though...
I HATE HER, but she's funny sometimes
I FREAKING LOVE MONA! At first, it was really really difficult for me (don't take this the wrong way, tons of people loved her course right off the get go), but then Mona helped me along and would come like an hour before school (mind you she lives an hour and a half away) just to make sure I was getting all the resources and help I needed to succeed. She's just such a great person overall and I hope she never retires.
At first, the class will seem difficult and Mona will seem intimidating, but as the year rolls on you'll notice how much you've learned and how great of a teacher Mona really is.
One of the best teachers I had in high school. I actually learned a lot of French eventhough I didn't put that much effort into it. Her program is set up in such a great way that when you get to honors or ap you're not conjugating verbs, you're actually learning how to write essays and speak the language. Awesome teacher, wouldn't have ever been able to go to France with my classmates if it wasn't for her fantastic organization and willingness to take a bunch of teens to paris for spring break!!
she is cool anndfauiegfwheuit4b3jitn2jk t43kthbyuh u7645hy645uinhy4
Mona is a great teacher. She's HILARIOUS!!!!! She's always trying to help, whether it be through embarrassing you (in a funny, good hearted way), or working with you one on one. Sometimes she can scare the crap out of you, but she knows her french (and like 7 other languages). She's very honest with you, and gives you life advice when she's frustrated. I want to meet her two little dogs someday!!!! J'aime Mona! <3
awesome. would not trade her for any other french teacher. i didnt learn anything from my other teachers.
Mona is absolutely a wonderful teacher. She's always willing to lend a hand and teaches the best out of all my teachers. In her class, your grade is reflected by how much you study.
Mona is absolutely crazy, but in the best possible way! She is not the teacher to just give out worksheets, so expect lots of writing assignments and verb quizzes. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
She can take a joke a little too far sometimes... but I've learned sooo much in French so it pays off.
Mona is intensely passionate about French and you will learn alot if you try hard in her class. Shes a tough old-school teacher, and definitely has favorites and least favorites and picks on kids alot
I think mona can be a bit much at times. but she is very passionate about french and her students success-and it shows. if you survive her class you get a lot out of it.
MONA is amazing. She has high expectations but praises students for their hard work. She teaches not only the language but about cultures worldwide; she is well travelled & knowledgeable & is sweet.
Love Mona! She makes French fun and easy to learn! Super funny!
Mona is awesome. she challenges you and doesn't take any crap, but she knows her stuff and how to teach it.
she is funny, one of the students drove her insane all year, so it was fun, her class is a little hard, but she does a good job teaching
Best teacher ever. I had her for 2 years, about 10 years ago and I still speak super French! I was a total brat but she never gave up on me. She used to always say I was going to give her a heart attack if I didn't start doing my homework! Merci, Madame!
Nice lady, but she is not doing her job. Bad preparation for the AP, despite the fact that she helps write it! Quelle ironie!
A teacher I will always remember. Keeps you on your toes, doesn't allow excuses for not doing homework, always cares for her students when they need it.Amazing
mona est tres interessante. elle est sympathique, est assez amusante. ;)
Stay on her good side and you'll have potential and she grades on that!
She's not like the other teachers; she will take time out of her day to help you
A cool woman, but entering her classroom is like going into an alternate reality
J'aime Mona! She is such a riot! And actually challenges us.
she's way too whimsical, but usually you can get by without doing homework
my sis took this class and she expects ME to speak frch when we pass in the hall
said,"fail in french, fail in life,"or something.dunno, wasnt payin' attention.
Today, she kept repeating herself, and switching languages on us. Strange.
She totally ignores me, and I could care less if she flunks me.
she's cool if you can understand the language she's speaking
