EXTREMELY uneducated teacher. She leaves unexpectedly, just walking out of the room and has an uncontrollable temper. She trips almost every day in her heels, and strikes your ears with her piercing voice. I didn't know that they just let ANYONE become a teacher. The kids in our class knew more than her... Exams were unexpected, homework was never checked, and grading was incredibly difficult. 0/10 RATING... never recommended to any schools

She knows exactly what she's doing. Look at the low reviews you see those are people complaining about low grades and her not going into depth. Had her for multiple levels. Her AP students think she's amazing while her regular students have mixed feelings. That says something. She teaches at a higher level...college level and you have to do a lot of work on your own. That's how you learn. In college now and glad I had her. She's very clear with having a syllabus for an entire year...just study

Mrs. Elwood is a great lady and super fun to be around. This is a very sociable class, so it is refreshing. I genuinely look forward to coming to her class each day. She is very easy-going until the students begin to slip up too frequently. Make sure you complete all of your work and study a lot. Unfortunately, she does not teach the subjects with much depth. You will have to spend a lot of time learning at home.

People who are saying she doesn't teach are the people that didn't learn anything in their previous class. She does teach...you don't study. You are all in for a rude awakening if you think you're going to do well in college. Large amounts of self-study reading, preparing yourself for an exam, pop-quizes on reading that was on a year-long syllabus...welcome to college. People that say she is realistic is entirely correct. Go pick up a book.

Bottom line-she teaches like a college professor and prepares you. She knows exactly what you learned with your previous class and she expects you to know that. She gives you a syllabus for the entire freaking year. Her expectations are clear. No one reminds you to hand in homework in college. She is an expert at Spanish grammar. Boo hoo...Her tests are hard and she gives multiple quizes a week. Get over it and study. If you're going to complain, then rethink going to college.

Very great teacher! Inspired me to make Spanish my major. I will agree with the earlier comments of the student that have a C or worse are probably the ones who don't know how to follow a syllabus or even bother to study. You don't get to teach upper levels of anything if you're a "bad" teacher.

Follow the syllabus and pay attention in class and you'll be fine. The people that complain are the one's with C's or worse. Her class is not super hard and she's teaching how a college class is taught.

She does not go over curriculum at all. She says we're babies, but yet she gives us no help and sits at her desk all day. One week i had 3 quizes day after day. No review in class or anything. I mean i understand getting ready for college and everything, but seriously?! Help us through it at least.

She is awesome! I love her. Definitely one of my favorite teachers. Even though you don't really learn much and do stuff for her it's a great class. In college we'll be on our on doing stuff all by ourselves... so i guess she preparing us for that!

She only focuses on her other duties at school and she even makes her students to stuff for her. There were days that all we did that day in class was put letters in envelopes for her.

Great Teacher! Learned how to be a college student. Study materials should never be just handed to you! I will be a Soanish major because of her.

Without a doubt, more popular than Shellman. However, she just doesn't know how to teach. Tests are difficult because she hardly goes over the material beforehand. If you like corny stories, she's your kind of teacher; however, if you want to learn, good luck with her.
