Dr. Beagle is a very good teacher and knowledgeable, but she is one-sided and doesn't like to accept other students' ideas when she doesn't agree with them. She does teach many things that you really need in life, and they will stick to you because of how strict with grading she is. She teaches kids how to work HARD for their grades. If you have a B, I"m not surprised. Good luck in her class.
A great English teacher, but she can be quite sassy. Beagle has her favorites, and it is very obvious. However, she is retiring this year, so if you didn't want her, great. But she was one of the best English teacher on campus, a graduate from Stanford she is very knowledgable.
Dr. Beagle is a knowledgeable teacher, so it is hard to get As in her class. It is rare to see an essay graded with an A, since she has strong opinions, if she doesn't like it...you will expect a B. Not to mention, she has her moods; sometimes she is super friendly, but there comes some times when she is really rude. Make sure you pay attention during class, because if she calls on you and you get the answer wrong, she will assume you weren't paying attention; and it is embarrassing...
SHE KNOWS TOO MUCH. Very passionate about the English language, which is great and useful for students, but also bad for some grades. Dr. Beagle is such a intelligent teacher, but she is difficult if you do not know anything.
Grades like there's no tomorrow. A's in middleschool to C's in her class.
Literally the best teacher ever. So sad that she's leaving soon :'(
She a pro teacher, and she usually is nice(unless you fall asleep in middle of her class when she actually teaching) but then she GRADES SO HARD! I used to get A in middleschool and those writings now get me like a C...
She's mean, not very helpful, and very condescending.
Best day of school was when the whole class (except for 1 girl) walked out on her in a conga line on the last day of senior year.
she explaines stuff clearly in her class. just take notes on book and annotate. she helped with my writing.
lots of work, many essays both for home and in class. strict and a harsh grader with high expectations. good at teaching as long as you are receptive. excellent presentation of class material.
even though she runs a hard class, i learned so much in her class. her class was extremely interesting and fascinating.
I sincerely feel for you if you're stuck in her AP Lit class. It's the worst thing possible when you're afflicted with senioritis due to the Beag's excessive workload and harsh grading. Still, she is an incredibly engaging and knowledgeable teacher.
She is an excellent teacher! Although she may not be the easiest, her class was super helpful. She was nice, just don't get on her bad side or else you'll be screwed. I learned tons from her class, although the work load is excessive. Great teacher, regardless. Thanks, Dr.! (btw, I had her for my freshmen english class.)
if she can cut the workload in half, she'll be the best english teacher ever. But since she gives so much homework, and honestly, right now the work are nothing but busywork crap, it's very hard to appreciate the fact that she can teach well.
Dr. Beagle's class is challenging--I had her last year for regular English, a class that normally is an easy A. However, with Dr. Beagle, I had to work for an A-. The first week of school, there were about 3 students that transfered out into Dooley's class. Beagle is a fair grader though, and she pushed me to become a better writer, even if I only ended up getting an A- in her class. If you ever get her, be prepared to work your butt off for a regular english class. It sounds dumb, but it's worth it. :)
dr. beagle is pretty cool! shes easy to talk to and is a funny teacher... haha i think she liked me cause i talked to her alot on the first day
Great English Teacher - Work load is excessive. I learned the most English in this class than any other class in high school. Don't take this class for the grade because chances are yours won't be high; do it for improvement.
good teacher, best english teacher i've had so far....
she's not easy. her voice is loud. she's pretty cool though.
she's definitely not an easy teacher, but she's so funny! and we do fun stuff in class. and she CUSSES! haha. i like her.
Definitely picks her favorites. She doesnt like teachers pets but doesnt like quiet students either. Matter of fact, she only likes smart girls. If you decide to do all of her work, you will learn something though.
cool teacher that will help your writing skills without a doubt. she makes the class fun and is always kind to every student.
Dr. Beagle needs to take a major chill pill sometimes. She has the ability to make one feel incredibily stupid for asking questions. But she can make class extremely amusing.
She has an interesting history, but she is cool. She's helpful, energetic. Watch out on the essays though.. but I liked the incredible amounts of criticism. Helped my essay writing alot.
I liked this teacher because she would always go out of her way to help a student who was having difficulty with the lesson and she was much more animated then most.
I learned just about everything I know about writing a good, solid essay from Dr. Beagle. She has a bad rep with students, but if you actually give her a chance, you can learn a lot from her.
We students need a little criticism every once in awhile, especially if it's constructive. We just have a difficult time accepting that and listening.
the lady is frightening because she's absolutely no-nonsense, but i liked her.
eh, she's alright. she really has no tolerance for stupid kids, so that's probably why she's not liked much. but i scored well with her, so yeah.
tough teacher, but having her as a teacher is a good experience
doctor beagle is the best and if she was mean or graded you poorly, you probably deserved it because you probably are very stupid. she's only mean to dumb ppl.
hard core teacher...wants a lot...good luck seniors and frosh in her class
