She is retired now!
She gives way too much homework to her students. I'm in her regular Spanish and she treats us like an AP class, which we are NOT. If you are in AP classes you should not have to worry about how much Spanish homework (that doesn't even help you) over how much APUSH homework you have.
I had Mrs. Byrne for Spanish 2 years in a row and I loved her and her class! She is very caring towards her students and helps them whenever needed. The course is challenging, but afterwards you will 100% know the material. She is the sweetest woman I have ever met.
She's a super nice lady if you're on her good side! But class is almost always extremely boring and she doesn't seem to care much about how much her students learn. She's not very clear about homework assignments and doesn't make Spanish very enjoyable to learn. Last year my class with a different teacher was much more exciting and made Spanish interesting, but this year I can't wait to finish the class.
She is a nice lady if she likes you. she is very persnickety. she will take off a whole point for something small like a missing accent mark. She knows Spanish but she is not good at teaching it
Mrs.Byrne is the best teacher in the entire world. She is SO nice and SO understanding. I wish I could have all my subjects taught by her. She really knows what she's talking about and cares a ton about her students. The only people that don't like her are the ones that don't like teachers in general. She really made me love Spanish and because of her, I'm even majoring in it! LOVE MRS.BYRNE! She has a really cute son too ;)
To be honest, I believe her to be a lunatic. I don't like her, but I'll admit she can teach well. She unfortunately destroys that by being extremely strict, and rather unhelpful and mean. You can get an A in the class, if you already have abilities in Spanish, otherwise it's pretty hard. She does assign a lot or busy work, and is a very strict grader.
As others have said, she's a great teacher if you're willing to learn.
shes really nice, and im actually learning spanish this year :)
She never liked me. I tried my best but I guess I had other issues at the time. Still, she never helped us learn more about the language. It was just more and more stuff about culture.
sometimes she seems like she doesnt like teaching or kids. she is very polite and kind and if you have a question about your grade or how she graded a test, just ask and she'll always double check it. but make sure you do your homework because she can sometimes guilt trip you about it
She assigns very pointless busy work that seems like she thinks it up during the last minute of class. She cares more about spelling errors than my English teacher which is completely insane. I can't spell in English, so how can she expect me to spell in Spanish? She has taken full credit off of many of my answers because of a single spelling mistake in the sentance.
Great teacher, the only students that don't like her are the ones unwilling to learn. If the student is willing to listen they will learn alot.
i don't go here but her son is my best friend so im at their house all the time and she speaks spanish there too. cept i speak italian so i dunno whats going on.
She's a good teacher, just as long as you participate and talk in Spanish the entire time.
She knows what she's doing...but sometimes doesn't express it well.
