Acts inappropriately with fellow department teachers.. no need to say who.. everyone knows. Brings her personal life to school with her, and mixes it with her professional life.

I like her! I think she is a great teacher and she keeps us awake! She tells us to get up and stretch or asks us random questions. She pushes how we think which is great! And she has nice shoes. haha see ya tomorrow!

I find Ms. Shotland to be unprofessional, extremely biased, narrow-minded, and obstinate. She dresses inappropriately for her job and over-exaggerrates her lectures, which leads to loss of her credibility. It is impossible to negotiate anything with her. Her grading system is arbitrary and lacks any real basis. she is one of the worst teachers I've had yet.

Her grading was terrible (stupid point system). She plays favortites and sadly she did not like me. :( It is nice though that she gives out lots of candy and cookies, and she makes the class get up randomly to ask them weird, silly questions or do awkward jumping jacks or something.

she really works to get kids involved and keeps everyone on the same page, but sometimes she teaches students with a left wing bias. some of the information contradicts what i've learned in the past, but all in all she is ther to help a student succeed.

i think ms. shotland is awesome. she is funny, tells both sides of the story, has comics, and easy homework. i learn a lot from her class and find it useful. 20th century honors rocks cuz of her...

Can be nice but has little patience and tries to hard to prove how cool she is. Not very helpful either.

The woman threw out my prom pictures because I was a few days late in picking them up...couldn't have given them to my house office or anything...seriously.

She plays favourites with her students, and makes people who have trouble with the class very uncomfortable. Even if you study hard and do your work you can't expect a good grade if you don't agree with her views 100 percent. Asking for help from her doesn't get you anywhere either. Unless you come into the class already knowing almost everything about US history, I feel that you cannot get an A, and you will dread the class every day.

One of the most biased classes i have ever taken. you learn her version of history and nothing else. however, she is a really cool person outside of class

Nice lady, and she certainly cares about her students, but her class was the easiest waste of time. I didn't learn anything but her personal politics.

I loved having Nancy as a teacher for 20th century honors...she really got me interested in history, something I now hope to persue as a major in college!

Ms. Shotland does not use the text-book in US history just so we get her version and nothing else. Her ferociousness to Republicans causes discomfort.
