She is a great person. She's extremely kind hearted and has a great way of thinking, however, her class is very stressful. She gives out way too much work and grades EVERYTHING.
she is a great middle school teacher here at PHMS we are happy that she is here with us
7th grade team 7-2
The best teacher I have ever had. Losing her as a teacher was comparable to the death of a family member. I was devastated and I'm still collecting presents for her.
I've had Mrs. Beres for 3years now: Honors10,for journalism1, and journalism2. She's a good teacher.&like; a lot of other teachers, she isn't perfect. She's had bad days and had trouble controlling the class (which is honestly her only bad quality), but she's helped me grow as a student. I think she can be a little too lenient on her kids, but it's because she wants them to succeed. I've definitely learned a lot from her over the years. oh also the statesman looks awesome now (;
she cares too much about world issues. she hates America. Hey Naomi, you don't have to live here! Go live in the middle east where its apparently so much better.
Very passionate about what she teaches and helps us think outside the box. Be prepared to do a lot of work though, it's not an easy class.
My favorite teacher in high school. Altough not an awesome teacher with her lack of clarity but she was the most loving person I know.
Mrs. Beres has a true passion and love of literature and it's contagious.
Great class but it was difficult! I appreciated her class a lot more later in my high school career. :)
I had Mrs. Beres for both my Jr. and Sr. year. I think her classes help prepare me for college. She can be hard at times and her work does get long, but in the end it helps you in the end. Her Mass Me
Honors 10 - fun class to be in. she lets you freely express your opinions. she also helps you to think outside of your comfort zone and makes the rest of the world more interesting.
You teach yourself in that class while she "tries to prepare you for ap" and teaches us that technology is bad.
my 6 year old sister would do a better job teaching then she does. she totally picks favorites, her "basic understanding" questions aren't basic at all, and she gets off topic we never know what to do
My favorite teacher in this whole school....she rocks!!
Made you strive to do the best work possible, brought out the best work in her students. made you feel rewarded for going above and beyond. always will be the most influenial teacher i have ever had.
mrs. beres is a great, unique person. i was one of the few that didn't complain about honors 10. it is probably the most interesting english class. stop complaining, its high school
She is a nice woman and her Journalism class is easy, but i don't feel like I have learned anything about Journalism. We do more busy work and notes then actual writing. very unclear.
Naybear, despite the fact that she was extremely difficult at times, was one of the best teachers I've had so far. If you studied & asked questions, you generally did well, and your writing improved.
She has her good days and bad days. More bad days than most. She picks favorites BLATANTLY and it's very clear who she favors. She lied about the questions on the final and the essay topic. Way to go.
Way to copy word for word definitions and pictures from wikipedia for the ISM powerpoint. Hardly a quarter of the words on that ppt were original.
Things Fall Apart Exam: First TWENTY FIVE questions copied WORD FOR WORD from sparknotes. Nice, way to reward people who don' t read the book.
Although her class is challenging I think that there is a method to her madness. I have become a much better writer. I think next year when I take AP english it will be much easier.
A nice lady, very unhelpful and unclear of expectations. Her grading is obscenely unfair. How can you take negative points from an allotted amount of points YOU set? How does that teach us anything?
I love Mrs. Beres, she brings excitement to the literature unlike any other teacher I've had.
She's awesome. She loves literature and makes learning interesting.
Easily the best English teacher I ever had, although Fluhme does comes in a close second. She's passionate about what she teaches, and makes learning it enjoyable with all the projects and movies. 10th Grade Honors English was the first English class I ever enjoyed.
She's a really nice person, regardless of what other people say. And yeah, she can be hard, but only because she expects you to use your full potential. She wouldn't be a teacher if she didn't expect your best, newsflash, it's what they do. I'm really glad I got to know her in school, she one of my favorite people in this school.
Mrs. Beres is one of the best teachers in the school. She actually cares about her subject. Yeah it's hard, you might have to actually STUDY, but the class before you and the class before you got through it. I even heard the tests had to be dumbed down for this year's honors 10, hah. And, she does NOT preach about her religion, she teaches about whats in the book. Get over it and stop whining
BAD! you take off points for every little thing. You DONT tell us things. the other class always says that u say 'woops forgot to tell the other class that' and u still take off points from us. badddd
Mrs Beres is probably one of the worst teachers i have had the misfortune to have. Her midterm consisted of 50 fill in the blank 1 or 2 of which were answerable. 5 essays and 1 fully developed paper..
Mrs. Beres is by far the best English teacher ever. I've learned so much from her class!
Mrs. Beres is not only an interesting teacher, but also an interesting person. She has a great ammount of passion for literature and really tries to engage her classes in discussion. Some say that her class is difficult, but I think that is because people are not used to learning past the surface. Few teachers try to get their students to really understand the material like she; her class is more than just grammar and parts of speech. I am very glad that I elected to take her class.
mrs beres is tough with all of the homework she assignes but fair. the most enjoyable aspect about her class is how passionate she is about what she teaches. she has the ability to make literature come alive.
i think she doesnt understand her students. shes never willing to help, she just thinks you know it automatically. i love enligsh, but not right now. her class is easy and the A is great..but her as a teacher is just not something i would prefer. she has good reasons for hwat she does, sometimes, but she just doesnt understand for her students.
i have her for english. i really like her as a person, and how passionate she really is, but things she assigns, the amount of time you get to work on it, and everything in her class is a bit ridiculous, she will never listen to me when i don't understand something, and she doesn't have any sympathy for you if you didn't get a homework complete due to not understanding it in the first place, and on her tests, she puts stuff that i've never even heard of, all in all, she's ridiculous in choosing how to teach
she really needs to stop writing so many un necessary misconducts.
very passionate about her subjects, which makes the class interesting
Mrs. Beres is a wonderful teacher and a caring person. She just needs to take it easy it her elective classes.
Mrs. Beres is a really difficult teacher and she can be very unorganized at times, but i feel that she is one of the most passionate teachers ever. She makes English come alive.
Beres is a ok teacher, but she has a problem of tell you how to live your life!! She wants everyone to be an AP student:(
Mrs. Beres is quite possibly the best teacher I've ever had. Not only does she reward effort and creativity, but she also encourages all other aspects of culture not seen by peopl
Insane in a good way. Tough but passionate and thoughtful. Learn good writing skills, yet, still a lot to learn as a teacher...
Insane in a good way. Very eccentric and passionate. Yet, still more to learn as a teacher...
Mrs.Beres think that just because you are in her class, you want to be in AP. She gives out of this world essay questions and give test on stuff you have nver talked about!:(
i love mrs beres. she is the only teacher in the wjh school district who encouraged me to look outside the box and to explore and try new social and cultural things. a great friend
She is a nice woman, but she has this complex where she believes you have no other classes but her own, and finds it okay to assign you a mad research paper in an elective class.
tries too hard, but can definatly be convicted ti change things...
Not entirely bad, but not entirely good either. Too worried about censorship and staying on the administration's good side to do anything worthwhile.
