Demands and deserves respect. I understand why people might have a problem with him, but if you listen to what he has to say and don't act snide about it, you will get along with him just fine. Sad to hear he is retiring.
This guys played favorites with the athletes and was very rude.
Popular talk amongst many of the school's students. He is a very strict teacher (too strict even), but its a very easy class (after all, its decisions). However, he is knowledgeable and he gets his message across. He makes jokes that are only funny because he doesn't seem like the type of person to make jokes. He often has major mood swings.
Ultra-liberal, hypocritical, facist, bad-tempered, and unreasonable. So biased to his own views, he cannot bear to hear other people's opinions. My least favorite teacher I've probably ever had.
funny guy loves messing aroun. Good teacher though..his wifes cool too
I was actually scared of him and didnt talk. The class was boring for me becasue i didnt need it but for those that did need it it is a good class
if you don't try to get attention in his class by acting out, he's nice to you, so why not just try? the class isn't that bad. and a lot of people could learn from his lessons on respect and values
He is definitly into his subject. he is over the top and a little weird, but a good guy. Speak up in class, he likes it.
he can be over the top but is overall a really fair nice guy
I dont like him because hes so hard to understand and he think he knows everything.
This guy basically IS Decisions. He makes the class worthwhile. Don't get on his bad side, but don't get too far on his good side, either. I'm forever labeled "Bratty Kid" because I was such a good student (don't ask) and he doesn't quite understand how late he makes me for Art when he has conversations with me as I motor down Echo Hall.
decisions is useless without him. at the time he seems dry and almost embarassing. but in retrospect, he's a nice guy who tries to make a class that is essentially a joke into something legitimate, and you have to give him some credit there.
you gotta respect someone that tries that hard at something they do. honestly though i thought that the class was dry, and that teaching is not his correct occupation
I know a lot of people hate him, but I actually liked him. I think he teaches the class excellently, but I know other people disagree. To each his own, really. Either you love him or you hate him.
umm for the record he didnt quit smoking and he's a wierd guy...but if you dont have nels than decisions is a waste of time...you have to experience decisions with nels or else theres no point you mine as well retake the class...
All I hafta say is NELS NELSON! He's very corny, but he teaches you what you need to know.
Class wasn't difficult, but he seemed very misogynistic.
I like his style...hes not afraid to say anything ever, and he has amazing jokes (Heh...)
Be sure you are an ACTIVE LISTENER, if so the class is a breeze!
Great Atmoshpere and personality. Very kind to all students
not a good teacher at all because he doesnt explain anything and treats us like dummys
He was late every single day, once 35 minutes(!), and constantly leaves to talk to his basketball players. He's basically a coach who also teaches.
This is my impression of Jeff Nelson, "I'm stupid." HAHAHHAH Self high five!
Very very strange teacher. Eccentric is a good word choice. I hated him but he taught the stuff.
he was a great teacher and was nice but shows up to class late consistently
so nice but a bit.... ministerish.... hes very enthusiastic about dumb stuff
