First of all, Chem 2 is a lot less hard than everyone says. The problem is that everyone takes Chem 1 their sophomore yr and then takes Chem 2 their senior yr, and by then they've forgotten all of the background knowledge they need for Chem 2. The class is hard but juniors who take it seriously can make an A. Overall, Onnen answers any question you ask and is very patient, but the class moves a little slowly so my class had to squeeze in an entire unit just one week before the AP exam.
Amazing teacher, very good at explaining things and extremely willing to help. Asking questions is key
Mr. Onnen is an amazing teacher. He does, however, teach his ap class like a college course. Be prepared to do the work. You will get out of the class what you put into it.
Mr. Onnen is too overqualified to be teaching at west he should be in Nasa working as a scientist. good teacher very smart man
I love Mr. Onnen, and Chem I was alright but you could not pay me enough to take Chem II again. Seriously, it was my first B ever. Studying and OWL will engulf up all your time. And OWL is...Yuck.
He may sound monotone, but if you pay attention, you'll realize that he's an excellent teacher and makes even Chem II AP fairly easy. Ask him to tell his mole joke. :)
Mr. Onnen is the greatest! He's definitely got a sense of humor and wants students to learn. Chem II is a VERY hard class, but if TRY youll do great!
You just think way too fast for any of us to understand.
