Worst teacher I've ever had to suffer through in my entire life ever. Absolutely no care for the feelings of her students and constantly talks about her boyfriend and personal life way too much. Not clear on what homework is, shows up unprepared and never has a good lesson plan set up. She just wings it every day and also lets the whole class know it when someone forgets their homework. Gets mad at kids for showing up a few minutes late but does it all the time herself. Avoid this lady!
She doesn't have set plans for the day and always changes her mind
BAD. I had her twice for 3H and 5AP. Each time I came out of that class knowing less about Spanish than I did previously. She did not prepare me at all for the AP and the IB exams I took. She isn't very good at Spanish; when the Spanish exchange kids came they said she spoke funny. Also it takes her a while to translate simple sentences. She has to sit there and think about it. She is highly unprofessional. She is disorganized and will lose your papers and then blame you for it. She is bad.
she is the absolute worst teacher you could possibly imagine. she goes from disorganized and off topic to hungover and confused. she has no idea how to help student and isn't even goo at spanish. her grading is so bad i dont even know if she went to college. i doubt it though. bottom line if you have ortiz early in the year i highly reccomend you get out of that class immediately. i might pursue spanish in my years to come but because of her i really have no interest anymore.
Her class is so disorganized and she never seems to have a plan. She is unclear and not good at teaching. She is always texting and playing music and shes even been Skyping and shoe shopping during class. Very unprofessional.
Mrs. Ortiz is very lazy and the only thing we do during class is worksheets while she sits at her desk and texts. She texted during my oral! And she plays favorites big time
I don't know if I had the same teacher that all of you are commenting on in the forum. She was fine! The course was easy but fun, and she is a really nice person!
I liked her: she was fun and nice more often than not. She was an easy grader and laid back. Disorganization is her downfall. Her husband is hispanic, so her spanish is on par.
constantly unprepared, late, never actually taught, called on the smart kids when being observed, never spoke in spanish unless being observed, horrible teacher...
if u arent the best , good luck getting higher than an 80 on a test..shes mean to the dumb kids
I thought she was very nice but needs to work on making lesson plans
she picks on kids and talks to herself and doesn't teach a thing. she's not very smart. she can be nice at times though.
She'll help you with anything if you give her respect
I love Ortiz's class! Words can't describe her coolness!
