Absolutely the best! Mrs Ziller is the nice AWESOME teacher you'll look up to all day. She's funny and friendly and help you if you don't understand. Some people don't like her class because her tests are relatively hard, but that's because it's math and the class is challenging ( algebra2 trig). Just study well and if you're not a math person, ask questions, practice, and work hard.
She is a really nice person but she doesn't teach the lesson a majority of the time. Usually writes up notes on the board and you're left to figure out the concept on your own. And when does go over the lesson it's not the most clear thing there is. Personally, her class was an easy A since math is my forte and I can self study very well. But unfortunately, this isn't the case for other people and they struggle keeping an A in the class.
First few days seem good, right? She's nice to everyone and comes off as a nice person. However, two months into school, and she's already busting out the worksheets and work on the board. She does not teach. She also does not update grades, posts homework and announcements late, and is just too laid back when it comes to grades. She tends to go off on a tangent about healthy food and sleeping early. She should probably teach science.
I will say this, her class is what you should expect college to be like. I had her in 2014 and am now a freshman. In college, you will get lost and the teachers won't always be there giving help. This is good preparation. Try your best.
Hard class with confusing lessons, but very chill teacher
Ms Ziller is one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life. She cares about her students so much. Her method of teaching is different but once you get used to it you will be just fine. She will push you to reach success and to think outside the box instead of just spoon feeding you all the specifics. I had her in alg 2/trig and I am very thankful that I did because she prepared me really well for precalc honors.
her class is just like free period since she doesn't teach a lot, but she sets high standards on her tests and assignments. If you are good at self-studying don't transfer out!!!!!!! Her class prep you well in the precalc class :)
First of all, she is a teacher that doesn't teach. She gives you notes on the board and makes you write them down, since she is too lazy to actually stand up and teach the lesson. For the homework, she goes over them on rare occasions. When you ask her a question, she tells you to reference your notes or ask someone else. Even if you're still confused, she won't help you but instead yells at you for not undestanding. She never goes over the tests or quizzes. Transfer while you have the chance!!!
If she spent half as long teaching as she does telling stories, she'd be a great teacher.
she has been the hardest class i have had ever. she doesn't teach and she also told the class straight up one day that she doesn't want to teach math. The tests are very hard and have situations she never goes over. She never hands back quizes tests and doesnt post grades so i always have like a d or f when the progress reports come in. She also never helps when you ask a question and makes you seem dumb when you go up and ask her. TRANSFER OUT IF YOU GET HER. springer is a better teacher.
I typically get A's in math with extreme ease (easily getting a 100 every test). I even took a summer course to prep myself for her class. Surprise! This teacher will make math seem like the hardest thing you will ever take. I'll be a little more in depth here.
Her note worksheets lack consistency in wording, using vocabulary you wouldn't know unless you took a summer course. She fails to explain anything in depth, and she rushes doing notes when little time is left. Character limit reached.
Nice as a person,terrible as a teacher.
Does not help individual students with questions. Students make a special facebook page to help each other. Terrible teacher! Never know what grade you have in the class. Disrespectful to students.
Ms. Ziller is the worst teacher I have had at Fountain Valley High School. She writes the notes up on the board and expects you to figure anything you do not understand yourself. When I asked a question in class she tells you to ask another student
Ziller is one of the best teachers I have had throughout my years in FVHS. Although she sometimes has a strange way of teaching at first, her methods have really helped me improve in Algebra and have helped me succeed in PreCal Honors. Not only does she do a great job at being a teacher, she has always made the classroom feel like home and always told us great tips on how to deal with stress in high school. The inside jokes we've made in her class will always be memorable; she's awesome! :D
If you get Ms. Ziller, it's best if you transfer out. She's a nice lady but she's seriously a 16 year old teenage girl at heart - always talking, gossiping, eating and ditching class. She'll leave the room and forget to teach, refuse to answer anyone's questions or show grades. She never passes back any tests. She's dead weight. Honestly they need to fire her.
However she can be pretty cool/approachable. It doesn't matter if you suck up to her, she doesn't bump up grades or anything.
kept yawning out loud during the math test today, was really annoying. also, she mocked a student for accidently keeping one extra test while she was passing them out
yelled at us in class today while she was grading chapter 4 packets last minute. told kids to sit down and stop disturbing her and complained about all the work she has BADDDD TEACHER
On January 23, a student asked Ziller to borrow a calculator for a math test, but Ziller said the math was simple and did not give the student what she asked for. The test was a little difficult and there were many large numbers.
Idk whats wrong with all those people but i think shes awesome and funny and she deff made my freshman year!!! Love her health freak ways and funny stories!!
Vvv obserd people!!!
Listen to me: Transfer. Now. Before it's too late. GO!!
She doesn't teach well and her tests are beyond difficult! However, she has a nice and friendly personality but it really gets in the way of he
I don't think she understands that the root word in TEACHER is TEACH.
She was my favorite teacher yet! She was lenient wuth the hmwk and I mostly understood her teaching. Our class was really nice last year so she threw us a pizza party.
She sometimes doesn't even give notes, ussually will never answer questions and will just say: read the book....Plus we never get to see our grade????
Doesn't teach just puts up notes. just sits in class and eats her food. Don't expect to ever see your grade in her class because you won't. Good luck future students..I miss Mr. Cochrane
She SUCKED. taught by putting notes on the board and then eating her banana. problems on the test were beoynd hard. talked about urinals in class instead of teaching. transder out ASAP!!! she sucks
She teaches things well from the book and then her tests have these extra-complicated problems that are more advanceed than the book ones! She barely updates grades so I have to keep guessing at mine.
I like her class, mostly because she doesn't really mind that everyone just does whatever they want during homework period. She's just not very helpful though.
her class was fun- she had nicknames for everyone... i had to keep guessing at my grade the whole year though. i like her stories...
I love Ms. Ziller! She was fun even if percalculus was sooooo hard. I might not have gotten an A both semesters, but it was still my fave class! She was very helpful.
Never did anything seriously, and I checked the last few years, never gave back a test 2nd semester. Oh, and I'm tolerant to caffeine, and even if I wasn't, don't tell me what is good for me, k?
Cool & funny & taught well. She gave hard tests, and it does take a while for her to grade, but she just wants to see if we did it right. Don't eat unhealthy things in her class. ;)
shes pretty cool. a lot of times she tries to be funny when shes not.. it bothers me. but shes a really great teacher and shes definitely clear on everything. as for grading tests slowly, i dont mind.
She does take forever with tests. It's final's week and she's trying to cram in her tests. WOW. Also I thought the tests were really hard, STUDY! I didn't really like her personality, maybe its me.
she was on of the coolist and niceist teachers i came late everyday and still learned a lot not tardy sweeps eather i loved her
She is soo easy and very understanding, what annoys me is that she grades test at a very very very very slow pace.
She was soo easy, I like her teaching methods but honestly, she rarely grade our test.
she is weird and really wrapped up in herself! I had her a year ago and transfered outta her class! Thank god! good teacher though
She is ok, but too stuck up. I had her two years ago, and just got back my graded tests.
nice, strict, helpful, sometimes moody and takes forever to grade tests!
Relatable teacher, understanding and funny but strict when she has to be. Bit eccentric though.
Great teacher! The only problem is that your test will come back only when you forget that you took it...
hard class! Great teacher :) I even come back to her for help even though I'm not one of her students anymore.
It was a pleasure to be teach by her! But she really needs to grade test faster.
I liked her class a lot, for reasons that I myself don't know, really. It just had a nice atmosphere to it, helped me relax and work better, not like other math classes where I'm tense most times.
