Mrs. Black is the best teacher I've ever had in my life. She made Bio 100x better and although the subject was already great, she made me love it so much more. She was a role model to me and honestly changed my life and school career and made me realize I might want to pursue bio when I'm older. The weekly quizzes really helped keep the things you learned fresh in your mind and was a great teaching tactic. Her stories made everyone laugh and I always walking in and out of the room with a smile.

Mrs. Black is a really fun teacher who entertains everyone with her stories. She knows everything there is to know about bio. You may have weekly quizzes but you will likely end up being the only class who knows what they're doing for the quarter tests and the Regents. Super fun and a great teacher.

I freakin love Mrs. Black. She is such a nice teacher and a very smart/knowledgeable one too. She teaches great although her handwriting may be challenging to read at sometimes though. Her quizzes and tests are real easy if you study for like 1 hour.

She's a great teacher! Her class is challenging but she teaches you everything you need to know to do well on the final. Also, her students always do the best on common exams.

I LOVED her class. She has an extraordinary passion for biology, and it shows through her attempts to get people as immersed in science as she is. She can be intimidating and not too lenient when it comes to school work, but coming out of her class really makes you feel like you've learned something huge about life and really appreciate her as a teacher.

Possibly one of the best teachers in in the school. The bio class that she had 2010-2011 had 89.4% of them get 5s on the AP. Only five out of the 47 Students who took the test got 4s. Unbelievable... Pretty lenient about talking and late work.

I love Biology and really, really like the class. My only criticism is that she is sort of reluctant to give any sort of extra help, even when the student has missed a class or two. I understand that this is "college paced", but that doesn't mean that all her students are 4.0+ geniuses. Frsnkly, I'm struggling.

She knows most anything you can think of, and has very awesome "tangents". Just pay attention, and do the work. I've been through both honors and AP with her, and loved every minute of it

Black is a straight up good teacher. She occasionally goes off on tangents, but, somehow, they're always relevant to the class, and she has complete control of her students when they're in her classroom.

She keeps bio interesting with her hilarious stories and strange quirks. As long as you do the readings, you'll do fine. She totally overloads on labs though. But I still like her.
