This guy loves Physics. Ive honestly never met a teacher who loved their subject so much. He gets his point across in teaching adequately, but his classes were really behind for a couple of weeks. Nice guy, but can he please grade with letter and not lights, that would be nice
really nice and pretty funny. he tries to make things interesting, but hey, its physics
He is a nice guy, and a decent teacher, but if you asre one of the brightest students in the class, this is basically a 4 day a week study. I constantly find myself falling asleep because of how boring and slow the class is. Would be much better if so many of the students were not so incompetent.
I'm not sure why people don't seem to like his class, I personally enjoy it. He's extremely smart and knows what he's talking about. His quizzes are graded in an unusual way, but I've found it very helpful (doesn't give you a grade, but judges your understanding of an individual topic). His class can get a bit boring, but I wouldn't say that it is his fault,it's just the actually subject matter. The actually course can be a bit confusing at first, but eventually it makes sense. Overall good guy
He is too smart for his own good because all the stuff he taught would come naturally to him and not to his students, personally I liked him a lot and if you laugh at his corny jokes he instantly loves you. The only problem with him is that if you don't ask questions then their is no way you will understand what he is talking about so shy kids tend to basically fail his class. Overall great guy and is super passionate about what he does and was glad he was my teacher
I HATE HIM. grading system worst thing alive. Very dry and is so boring to listen to.
Gives vague outlines on the material but won't answer questions about them. kind of douchy
HIS PERSONALITY IS SOOOOOO DRY SOOO VERY VERY DRY, but the labs are fun
He's a nice guy. Pretty easy grader. Just SO boring.
loved him, he has a great understanding of the knowledge...he really makes the class interesting
excellent teacher!!! really understand subject matter and through interactive experiments and lectures makes class interesting. great guy!
Has a an unique sense of humor but is very helpful and tries to be interactive with the experiments.
Great guy, and better sense of humor than you'd think. Unfortunately, not that great a teacher...
mr marty is simply not a very good teacher. To his credit, he does try hard, although he does hand every assignment back late. most people in my class sleep through his lectures, and hes too clueless to pick up on it. If he does notice, hes too awkward to tell anyone to pay attention. He once apologized for waking me up. If you have him I would recommend bringing a pillow to class because sometimes it gets uncomfortable sleeping upright in the hard wooden desks
I had him freshman year and hated him but astronomy wasnt so bad, hes not that bad of a teacher
Nice and I think he really does no his stuff. It's not my favorite class, but he has great demos!
he is so boring. seriously,he should just quit and let someone with teaching ability take over. then i might actually learn something...
hes so boring and never clearly says anything. I never know what to study for his tests
He's not a bad teacher, he tries to make his class fun by his small sense of humor, but his lectures are extremely boring. His predictablility is enjoyable.
Dorky and a little boring, but a knowledgeable and competent teacher. Dont ask for a report/recommendation though. It's likely to be short and/or mean.
I kinda feel sorry for him. He's a huge nerd and a bad teacher, but he tries really hard to make physics fun. But still switch out, you'll thank me later.
he is a very hard teacher and is not available for extra help very often.
very unclear, boring, has much to say and a lot to teach, but does not know how to connect with students at all. a little distant from students, and unclear.
Mr. Martenis is by far the worst teacher i have ever had, he is increadable unclear and expects the class to know things he has not taught us.
his tests wouldn't be so hard if he actually taught us the information before giving them to us
Guys give him a credit. He tries really hard to make physics cool-we made ice cream/he brought in a strobe light for motion understandings...hes cool
I think he is really nice, a little boring but pretty good at explaining things
made me hate physics...and his experiments never worked!
Nice guy, tries to be interesting but usually fails. Impossible to get an A, easy to get a B. Works hard and is understanding. Overall a pretty good teacher
great teacher. very clear about what he's teaching, but yea, his class is definitely very hard.
I'm soooo not a science person and he still made me love physics.
I don't understand why ppl thinks he's not a good teacher, he's really nice
He knows physics but can't teach it. He passes labs and tests back around 1.5 months after you pass them in. And he's basically a big dork.
He cant pass stuff back, and takes off points for incomplete sentences, but is a nice person. Just too docile.
Really easy class, fun if you understand the stuff, lots of demonstrations, not very good at explaining things.
