Physics is hard, AP Physics is no different. Even if you are not the smartest of the students he has, if you try your best and care about doing well, he will reward you and help you in any way that he can.He is a great person and a genuinely nice person.

Let's face it, Physics is a difficult subject. You can't blame him for the difficulty of the coursework. I've heard plenty of complaints about his character, but from my experience the students who complain about Dr. Serri are the students who frequently misbehaved in his class. If you show him respect, he will do the same for you. He doesn't lecture much, but if you don't understand something, go ask him. He is one of the most helpful teachers I've ever had.

If Serri has any flaw it's that he believes people are smarter than they actually are and teaches them as such. He doesn't hold hands, he doesn't repeat himself, but if you actually follow is work and explanations, they're very clear. But that only works if you're intelligent, if you need to have all the steps of a physics problem explained each time you do it, I could see how you would have trouble. But he's really the most patient and trusting teacher I know.

He was very understanding when i had alot of absences due to gymnastics competitions and sickness. Gave me as much time as I needed to catch up and helped me understand what I missed. Great man.

This guy ruined high school for me. Gave me a really hard time for things that were out of my control. Was helpful at the beginning, even staying to 5:30 some days to help, but as time went on he got frusterated and took it out on me. Ruined my grade, my confidence, and my senior year. I'm sure he once was a good teacher, but needs to retire.

This guy is awesome. I have never heard him yell. He is easy going and offers plenty of help. Although his test are hard, it is easy to get an A in his class. His class has plenty of fun labs. Just do the work and don't complain.

He is such a good teacher and he is really friendly as well. :) He makes sure anyone can do well in his class because of how much he curves it.

I am currently doing clinical rotations for my MD (medical doctor) degree. I had dr. Serri in 1993 and he was excellent. Pay attention, try to learn as much as possible, you might not understand now but you will eventually!

His class is hard and the projects make kids (and their parents) cry. The problem with his teaching is that he doesnt "teach"...he shows you formulas and expects you to "know" how to do the homework. Most kids fail his tests.

Had Dr. Serri for physics - HATED math stuff. His class made it all clear. He spent HOURS with me after school - always kept the kleenex box handy. I'm very grateful to him.

Doesn't teach;you can fail every test and not do any of the projects and still pass with a C - B rage due to the amount of points homework ands labs are though.

Certainly not the easiest teacher but if you work hard and go in before school for help when you need it, he's really helpful.

he only shows you how to do example problems using the concepts he "taught" you in class the day AFTER he assigns the homework on it. so you fail the homework, AND do bad on tests.

Great for independent workers- believes in letting students figure things out for themselves, but willing to help (if you're brave enough to ask.) VERY accessible before/after school for help with his killer tests.

Assigns us the homework, THEN tells us how to do it the day AFTER. Doesn't even check the homework, so the people who cheat and put 100% on everything get full credit. Honesty doesn't get you anything in this class. Made me already hate physics for life.
