He's a pretty cool guy in general, but DAMN is he boring! I mean, history is a boring topic anyways, but his monotone doesn't help. He does do a lot of cool group work which keeps things interesting, but watch out for his lectures!
His teaching style relies heavily on textbook. Taking the notes (or, in my case, not) really killed my grade. He has a rather monotone voice that kind of helps zoning out. Its pretty easy to drift off and not pay attention in his class. He's not the worst teacher, but he is most certainly not the best. He tries, though.
He is the best, like he's funny and you can joke with him but he can also teach the subject really well. History in general is boring, but his lessons are what is going to be on the test so it's good to pay attention. Also he makes great puns.
chill teacher, if you have any common sense he will like you. He knows all his stuff right off the top of his head. He is old-fashioned though. Also his class seems intimidating at first but it really isn't
Relaxed teacher. History itself is just boring, but still manages to provide good discussions. Just sit back, relax and let his PBS documentaries teach you.
He isn't necessarily a very good teacher, but the fact that all of the tests and quizes are solely based on the reading makes this a very straightforward class where if you take good notes you will ge
Mmmh, mr. Herner is not a really good teacher, I don't understand him at all. He only says something once, every teacher is suppose to repeat on whatever their teaching. He only says it once, and what
hes okay, jffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffj
realllllly realllly boring. monotone voice. most boring history teacher ever. very blah.
Mr. Herner keeps it real. He is funny and he once wrote "I love oatmeal" on my friend's quiz. What an incredible man.
My fav teacher from b-cc. Has a witty dry humor that not all teenagers can appreciate. Provides excellent and detailed explanations. I learned for life from his classes.
Cannot stand him. His vioce just drones on and on and on. He can't teach and was just terribly, terribly boring.
CAN'T TEACH! i study so hard yet i end up with a D. his class is so frustrating!
Herner is very well read concerning the topics at hand. He can be better than Ainsworth, though it really depends on your learning style. Herner clarifies, Ainsworth is notes
good and fair and doesnt talk ALL period like AiNsworth
I enjoy his teaching style and he doesnt constantly remind you how tough the IB exam is he just prepares you
He is a good guy, but for AP he is rediculously hard. Tests are very difficult even if you studied a good amount. He does curve though and gives corrections.
Mr. Herner is kick-donkey. It's great when he makes jokes on Haywood...
he does talk al lot but IB isnt hard because everything he says will be on the test. plain and simple
This man knows what he's talking about. And conveys it successfully. Praise be.
Herner is Fabu!! Reminds me of Elivs! Great teacher who really cares.
he knows his stuff, but he talks alittle bit too much and you get off subject
he talks too much. its helpful but he talks to much it makes you want to go sleep
Knows lots about History, can be funny, would be a good teacher if he didn't talk so softly. He's really boring! I always fall asleep in his class.
DRONES on and on with that monotonous tone... tried to "reform" essay writing and just made everyone fail... again and again, hopeless cycle...
first he seems dard but he's not, good teacher and i love when his voice starts changing it's so funny, MR.H u're a great teacher
If every teacher knew as much as Mr. Herner did, than we would be so much more aware of our surroundings
Not hard at all, very good at getting his point through, always openminded, a very good teacher. Only the most braindead students should have trouble with him.
He knows his stuff but not the best at motavating us to lern it.
Mr. H... soooo awesome! Completely chill! Made NSL so great! I got to yell and be opinionated!! MWAHAHA! Thanks man! You're gonna be a great dad! -Shari L.
He is a completely clueless teacher. He doesn't know his subject at all and he only focuses on details.
He's able to recall most of the complex material offhand, and his laid-back demeanor makes learning fun!
he's really smart, but he really cant form complete sentences, let alone teach! he knows what he's talking about, but he just cant teach!
he is a great teacher he just stays ona topic to long.
