When I first started his class, I had anxiety talking in front of other students but after a while I got over my fear. So, be prepared to talk a LOT and write many chapter notes. Having him for HUSH as teacher was painful but also great. I used to look forward to his class because he is a fair and amazing guy. Just be prepared to put in a lot of extra work outside of class. Collaboration with study guides is key!

If you're one of those kids that doesn't like talking in the class, this is not the class for you. I personally think his class format is stupid because everyone says the same thing in the discussions and we don't really learn anything. There's a lot of homework whether you're in honors or ap. He's a nice guy but the class takes up a lot of your time when it really doesn't have to

It was a pleasure to have Mr. Meyer as an APUSH teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and humorous. Before lectures he alway shares stories! Not to mention, he is willing to meet up with students to go over exams, essays, lectures, etc. Again, I highly recommend him. I have learned so much about American history and our democracy from him. Best teacher ever!

I liked him a lot. There aren't many 100% fair teachers at Niles West, but Mr. Meyers is fair. He is funny but sometimes his jokes make no sense. Only history buffs can understand them.

For an Ap class, I don't think Us Hist is hard at all. If you pay attention to his lecures, participate in the discussions. do all the outlines and essays, and pay attention in class, you should get a B without even having to study. Mr. Meyer has such a funny personaliy. Whoever is in his class next year ask him about how much he loves Texas. Hahaha.

Meyer knows his stuff back and forth, which is good and bad. He goes through the motions too much. Overall, very good lecturer. Class discussions got boring, but were still useful. I felt very prepared for AP test.
