A sweet old lady, but a terrible teacher. Her explanations are designed for AP Chem students and misleading, Her tests will be impossible without warning and you won't learn the material until the day before. Has clear favorites. No way I'm taking AP chem.

Mrs. Basker may be one of the nicest teachers I have ever had, but I'd rather go to her home for dinner than have her for a chemistry teacher. I had her for both Chemistry and AP Chemistry, and AP chem is impossible with her. Unless you're willing to teach yourself, transfer out.

Ms. Basker is a shrewd and intelligent teacher. Her pace is quite fast, and those who don't understand may fall behind. However, if you do the work and put in effort to understand and pay attention in class, you will do well. She is tough, but reasonable.

i don't understand anything that goes on in that class, and when i ask her questions she always, without fail, responds by saying "well, if you were taking AP chemistry i could explain it to you." and then she puts it on the test anyway. She's a nice person, but i feel like i haven't learned anything from her, and if i do well on the chem regents it will be because a lot of my friends have are amazing at chemistry.

Basker's willing to give second chances for students who look like they're working hard, but she doesn't actually help those who need it. She seems to put a lot more care into her AP students than she does her 10th graders. For what it's worth, she's pretty funny and has some good stories to tell.

Almost all basker students do extremley well on the APS/Chemistry SAT II. Shes an amazing teacher and her accent isnt that bad - overreaction by the drama queens. shes so underrated

She's really hard, but I thought she was a good teacher. She only means for you to do well. You won't get away with not doing work and getting good grades; just do all the homework assigned.

Her accent is not the only thing that makes her unclear. The theory is that she's a robot, which is why she can go on talking indefinitely regardless of whether or not the class is with her. The best positive I can give her is that she's clueless when it comes to cheating on her tests.

It really depends what you have her for. For AP Chem she is a wonderful teacher. Her tests are hard as hell, but they are curved like there's no tomorrow.

Very hard chem teacher. She teaches the concepts in class but doesn't give involving practice problems. She saves those for her tests :(

It's hard to learn about molarity vs. molality when the l sounds just like the r.
