Mr. Dykes was one of the best teachers and mentors I had in my youth. He maintained high standards for us consistently. He also was the best coach I ever had (track and cross country). (1984)
he made chemistry miserable and confusing. the only one we learned anything from was the T.A.
If you go in for extra help, he'll definitely be there for you and make sure you get it. I'll miss ya Mr. Dykes and now that you're retired, good luck with everything you'll be doing ;)
The hell are you talking about? He's not wacko at all. He definitely knows what he's doing - and much more! Mr. Dykes has got to be the smartest guy I've ever met.
Mr. Dykes knows what he's doing, but doesn't teach in an interesting manner. If you need help, go talk to him.
I feel that we shoule be paid from punahou because we are teaching ourselves. Mr. D. doesnt know what hes talking about
nice person, bad teacher...he is boring and you try soo hard not to fall asleep...and class is 1 1/2 hr long...he gives you test on stuff he doesnt teach so you basically fail..
Practically makes you learn the material on your own because he's too boring to pay attention to. Goes on tangents like how he was sprayed with fertilizer as a kid.
mr. d is a really good teacher but you cant sleep the whole class and expect to learn anything. when you ask questions he really does make sure you understand
He's nice and all, but I think his time has passed. It's good he gives us independence, but we're high school students. I can't understand anything he says.
I think he's one of the best teachers I've ever had. However, a lot of people I've talked to disagree. How you get along with him depends on how you learn.
Arguebly THEE worst science teacher i've ever had. Boring, quiet, and otherwise doesn't seem to care about his students. He does not give teacher evaluations.
He is definetely the worst teacher I have ever had. hes so boring that I fell asleep alot when he was talking
I listened to my headphones and did other hw all class the whole semester. Also played hangman and stuff with my deskmates. Sit by someone you know!
interesting style. at first i thought he was neglecting us, but when i took classes at college, i thank him for giving us independence.
he's really good at explaining things, and is willing to give up any time to conference. I learned a lot because I asked questions which he answered.
Hmm. I hate to say this, but he's sort of disorganized and he never taught. IT was mostly us teaching ourselves. But he was always willing to have conferences.
dude, TEACH the material. random pop quizes and study guides dun do n e thing.
He was very disorganized. He needs to talk aboutn one thing only
