I was the last class to have this amazing man as an educator. I was also lucky enough to be the last class to have his friend, and my ninth grade English teacher, Nina Gifford, as a teacher. Being given the privilege to have both of these knowledgeable people as teachers was an amazing experience. I learned a lot under them, and laughed a lot. He made me cry, smile, and most importantly question EVERYTHING. I'm TRULY sorry for the classes who don't get to have him.
PURE. GENIUS. I graduated in 2009 and will never forget this man. Ray Linn will change your life. Please do not take him or his class for granted because you will be doing yourself a tragic disservice. He has so much to offer, take as much out of his class as you can. Some of the other students in my class didn't take his class seriously and they really missed out. Don't be one of those students. Ray Linn is revolutionary.
One of the best teachers I've EVER had. Probably one of the best philosophy teachers in the country (HS or Univ). Unforgettable. Your perspective on life, the world, everything will be totally wrenched apart, and for the better.
By the time you get there the homework should be no big deal. The tests will be a challenge, however. Remember not be an utter failure in front of him. Making mistakes is acceptable, just don't give up like a little piece of garbage and you'll be fine. If he makes fun of you he likes you, keep that in mind. Oh, and make sure you bring a pen to class. I still have nightmares about that.
For a senior year experience, Linn is boss. He doesn't baby you, and exposes the truth, that there is none.
Hands down, one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's a legend for a reason. He's unforgettable and so are his lessons.
Great Teacher. You will learn philosophy and aesthetics under this man. If you did not, you were probably a terrible student. He will enlighten your view of the world and fashion.
Mr. Linn is a very good teacher. I learned a lot about postmodernism from him and see the world in a different way.
is be funny at times. gets boring when he starts to read the packets outloud. but when he lectures hes good. hes got style too
One of the best philosphy teachers in the country. and perhaps the only high school teacher who understands post modernism. brilliant
Cleveland's MVP; brilliant teacher; engaging style; makes students understand and appreciate difficult philosophies; no coddling or talking-down
great guy, hard class. makes many jokes... if they are directed towards you... dont take them personal, hes a kidder.
I am now a teacher myself and I will say I learned more from him than any teacher I ever had. I could only hope to be half as good.
he is hard, and if you answer wrong he makes you feel really dumb...i don't like him at all.
