Mr. Salazar is one of the best teachers I've had. He's organized, knowledgeable, and funny. The class isn't an easy A, but you'll get one if you're genuinely interested in the subject and in improving. He doesn't try to trick you on the test, and he grades fairly. Just listen carefully during class and take good notes. He's part of the reason why I love chemistry. I don't know if I'll still love it after AP Chemistry though...
Mr.Salazar is the best, he has a great understanding of what he is teaching and exactly how to teach it, genuinely cares for his students, and has a great sense of humor. His class is definitely not difficult to get an A as long as you pay attention to his lectures and ask for help when needed, he is very very nice. Anyone should be grateful to be lucky enough to be in his Honors Chemistry class. :)
Salazar is a great teacher. He teaches very well, and you can tell he is concerned with you if you are not doing well in his class. The most inconvenient thing with Salazar is he leaves right after the bell rings for 7th period. It can be hard to find him outside of class
He is a good teacher and really makes sure you understand the material. His tests are actually really easy, but they're so easy to make mistakes on that it's easy to get a B. Before every test, you'll know exactly how to do everything, and the rest is on you. He even made quantum mechanics a little easier to understand. He's funny and great to interact with, and cool to know him personally. Just put in enough effort, and you'll get a minimum B-. You have to be a prodigy to get an A however.
In truth, I wish I had regular chemistry than Honors chemistry with him. At times, his notes are not exactly clear and it's pretty hard to keep up with him. Along with that, his tests are all write out and he is very picky on small details.
Mr. Salazar teaches very well. He is extremely organized as he follows his calendar strictly, makes neat Powerpoints, and is always prepared to teach the material. However, he teaches incredibly fast, so his class is difficult for those who dislike chemistry and are slow learners like me. He requires you to provide a lot of explanation on his tests, and he grades very strictly, so you must include all details or else you will only get partial credit on each question.
Honestly the best teacher at this school without a doubt.
salazar can be the best teacher at school. he makes sure his notes are perfect and that every single student will understand his lessons. also, his powerpoints are super clear and there isnt a lot of notes you have to write. if youre a slow writer but you dont want others to wait, dw he will wait for you anyways and he wont make fun of you. you might sometimes have hw everyday in a week, but they are only 1-2 questions and they are covered in the notes. JUST MAKE SURE TO STUDY FOR TESTS AND QUIZ
Mr. Salazar is by far one of the best chemistry teacher ever.
He literally goes over things for you that you don't understand. He WILL make sure every single one of the students understand it, like literally if one person doesn't understand, he would come persronally by himself to assist that student himself. What a great teacher. He makes unintended jokes, that are not even supposed to be funny but he makes me laugh anyways. His presentations on the board are nicely done. Amazing teacher!
I've only had him for a few months but I really like him. he has years of experience and fun labs and homework that prepares you for the tests. he explains the lessons really well too and you can tell her really enjoys his job which makes my learning experience more enjoyable
I had Mr. Salazar for Honors Chemistry my sophomore year. When he says to read the textbook, DO IT. His tests aren't difficult as long as you pay attention in class, take some notes, and complete your homework. He's also very humorous and sassy; you'll grow to love this guy.
One of my favorite teachers. Salazar is knowledgeable and will teach you what you need to know. The tests are easy, but it is extremely easy to mess up on your calculations and end up getting a B. Always double check your answers. Salazar is very funny, although a bit repeptivie with his jokes.
mr. salazar was pretty rude to the students but that's possibly just my perspective.. a lot of students liked him and his jokes but i didn't. LOL but overall i did well in his class because he was a good teacher but his tests are difficult.
SALABAR! PLEASE DON"T CALL ME BAD STUDENT! I TRIED MY BEST! I LEGIT LEFT MY HOMEWORK AT HOME THAT ONE TIME! I WASN'T LYING! Jk, man, Salazar is amazing. Although I did end up with a B second semester(89.5).
Mr. Salazar is one of the most genuine people on the planet. He truly cares for his students. He is highly knowledgeable on the subject matter that he teaches. Salazar is a great teacher, but an even better person.
Never answered my questions. Doesn't teach well, moves too fast, and gets mad when you are one of the last finishing the test, even when within time limit. Never got an explanation of any topic I asked him about and locks the door on you when you ask
THE BEST CHEMISTRY HONOR TEACHER ON CAMPUS!!! (p.s. there's only one chem honors teacher). ONE OF THE MOST REMARKABLE AND UNFORGETTABLE CHEMISTRY TEACHER IN THE UNIVERSE OF ALL TIME!!! EASY TEACHER, EASY HOMEWORK, EASY TEST!!!
So easy..no need to study..free A.easy test, easy hw, easy lab, everything's easy
He's an amazing teacher. His class was hard at times, so make sure to never miss a class. Missing a lesson is basically signing your death sentence. He covers a ton of information in class. But he's super funny. Sometimes it's hard to ask a question in class because he gives you the "are you seriously asking me that?" face, but if you don't mind that, go for it (: Make sure to never make stupid mistakes on his tests. That'll cost you a lot of points. He usually grades pretty fairly as well.
I took Mr. Salazar's class a few years ago, almost didn't get a chance to be one of his students. I'm a college student now, and have been taking chemistry courses all throughout of college. I have yet to meet a better teacher or professor then Mr. Salazar. He is probably the best teacher I have ever had. Don't hesitate for one second to take his class. Salazar, if you see this, send me a article about your Lakers like you did back then. I'll be happy to read it.
i loved him. I just absolutely loved him. He's wayyyyy better than Gewecke. way better.
Great teacher :D Very funny. I wish he can teach me every subject
FLAWLESS TEACHER, FLAWLESS PERSON, FLAWLESS EVERYTHING. It's best to not ask stupid questions that can be answered by looking in the book/at his syllabus, though. He has a water sprayer by his desk and isn't afraid to use it. He's like the Doctor and GLaDOS and general amazingness mashed up into one person. He has really big eyes and likes to drink Snapple Peach Tea. He's really funny, except when his humiliation is directed toward you. (But it's still absolutely hilarious for everyone else.)
Probably one of the best teachers on campus. Definitely made me not hate chemistry as much as I would with other teachers.
Mr. Salazar have this funny accent. He always say "Your face..." and "OMG...Really...That's so easy." and i always wonder why is his hand always moving his belt around. since i sit in the front, the b
Mr. Salazar is funny. But in the honor's chem class, it goes really fast. He expects you to read and to your homework everyday. I would really like his class if I didn't hate chemistry.
Awesome teacher. Tests are easy for the most part and he really cares for his students. One of my favorite if not my favorite teacher.
Funny teacher, definitely makes chem interesting. Don't ask dumb questions, he usually just stares at you with his big eyes and says THIS IS EASY!! And doesn't answer the question sometimes
Everybody loves Salazar! His class is a little hard but he is patient and does a good job explaining stuff.
Wonderful teacher. I was failing his class, but he did everything he could to help me. Compassionate, funny, and friendly teacher. Good at what he does.
his tests are way hard, not in the book of practice homework problems
funny teacher! fun class and knows how to teach well! (:
he's funny but his class was really hard and he wasn't taht great at teaching the material. we always spend half the time doing wahtever we want because he doesn't teach for that long. fun class tho
Great teacher. Prepares you very well for the AP class and is very funny. Go PACO!~
It's a difficult class but you actually learn. He's also funny and he is aware of how much work his student's are getting. Great teacher.
he's a funny teacher. his tests were tricky so you have to study. he doesn't like to answer questions.
He may be scary sometimes but he is really funny. His grading may be rough if you don't try but he definitely has the best intentions. His class is one of the best classes on campus.
He is so cool without trying to be lol (cool in a funny way) and if u say something stupid he usually replies with "your face is ____" I learn a lot in his class
His tests are sometimes tricky so it gets people doubting on their chem tests next year in the AP class. All in all, he's a good teacher
His favorite phrase in response to I can't see the notes on the overhead. "OPEN YOUR EYES!" most of the students are usually Asian. He has a great sense of humor and is understanding.
undoubtedly the coolest, most inspiring, funniest, easiest teacher ever. GO PACO!
He is a good teacher as long as you don't ask stupid questions. He doesn't give that much hw, but his tests are really hard. you have to make sure you understand EVERYTHING before the test.
he is absolutely hilarious. the only annoying thing is that he teaches you how to do the homework the day it is due.
great teacher, though a slightly strange personality.
His tests are not hard- they just require precision. He teaches well, has an effervescent personality, and is the "cool" teacher of various sophomore students.
One of the best science teachers I've ever had. I felt he prepped us well for the AP Chem, despite what others might say. It should never depend entirely on your teacher; you've got to be proactive.
He's a good person, but a horrible teacher. Really impatient and pulls off really condescending jokes. They are funny at first but later on get repetitive, time wasting, offensive, and very annoying
I learned so much from his class!!! He made me like chemistry! I'm glad he became a hs chem teacher instead of a vet : )
He's cool, lenient and all, but his tests are HARD, almost like Brannum, but a much better teacher, since he understands his students... *cough cough* doesnt give out like 200 pages of hw a day like b
cool teacher! very funny, makes jokes all the time! good sub. for ap. chem! good class!!
hilarious. one of my favoritest classes even though chemistry was beyond difficult for me. you really have to get it or go to his test practice sessions after school.
Best Science teacher ever. If you think this class was hard, try Brannum's Biology Class! I am going into chem because of him.
Paco is the best. If you guys don't understand chemistry it's because you guys are stupid. Don't blame Salazar.
He is a good teacher but he goes so slow that we have to take on one section one day. He makes things clear and I like his typed out notes too, only now he doesn't do it anymore....
OMG chem is hard for me... i dont get it... i feel discouraged and then i start not caring anymore because i cant do it... helppp...
he helps me with math homework. during science. yayy.
great teacher (as long u dun fall sleep in his class).
he's an excellent teacher and he's super smart. His sarcasm is FUNNY, people need to relax and not take it personally. One of my favorite teachers ever!
awsome teacher. great at explaining complicated things. i learned a lot easily w/o being bored. totally helped me prepare for ap chem this yr.
great teacher but when he asks questions and i answer, i get sprayed with his water bottle. i dunno why. if you dont want an answer then dont ask a question.
woo hoo mr. salazar rocks!! he's cool and he explains well.
he's all good, and he teaches really well. He's funny and sarcastic. I wish he could teach AP Chemistry too.
He makes chem really to understand while you still learn alot. Just do what he says and you should get an A with ease. He is also very funny and sarcastic.
I really like Paco. I actually learned a lot in his class and did well on tests. Get this-- I actually looked forward to sitting there and taking notes. That's how great he was.
AWESOME TEACHER! a lot of people take his sarchasm too seriously, but he's just being funny. He really knows what he's talking about and teaches really well. That's pretty rare
Okay, let's see here. I graduated 2 years from TCHS, and I have to say he is one of my favorite teachers... except for the fact that he likes the Lakers...
Very sarcastic and funny, interactive learning (i.e. slamming on the desk for elements) It's a shame the rest of the teachers weren't as involved as him.
ok kids, i am 3 yrs out of H.S. and if you will be taking Chem in college..SAVE YOUR NOTES from his class! he explains it soo much better than any professor.
HIS A GREAT TEACHER! I WISH I HAD MORE TEACHERS LIKE HIM
his full name is raymond armondo salazar aka paco keep telling me to sit down -_-
Very sarcastic and always made fun of me, but it's all good. Sprays ppl with water if they fall asleep in the front. Paco is his name.
he's kinda scary when he opens his eyes up real big and says "NOOOOOOO!" and when he slams the yardstick down on my desk so i jump out of my seat
He kicked me out of his class one day because my friends were talking and he thought I was too.
keep saying that we are learning BABY chem, but he can't even teach AP chem.
Best (and only) chem teacher I ever had. Very funny, makes class cool.
good teacher overall...but man i hate the way he keeps telling me to pick up the trash those AP students left behind...
