i had him many as a teacher and including the year before he retired. in the beginning, i found him intimidating and mean but after a while and spending numerous days with him i grew a strong attachment. he taught me not only how to sing but discipline and how to act in general. he was so influential and i look him for granted when i had him. now having flashbacks of taking apples to the smart board, the tape on his desk and organizing his music just got him to ruin it. love mr d
Maybe he has gotten better about this through the years, but in 1989 when he was just an interim chorus teacher he told me that I would never get into Julliard because I hadn't been taking lessons for long enough. As an impressionable 13-year-old that caused me to abandon my aspirations to be a pianist. Thankfully I had many subsequent music teachers who were very supportive, and I went on to get a degree in composition, write music for television and tour professionally as a keyboard player.
I'M GONNA HAVE TO GIVE YOU A UNPREPARED
He is very nice if you are on his good side or are in Chorus. Sometimes he is a little unclear and don't forget anything, even a pencil or you will be marked unprepared. He will be missed when he retires.
WAS THE BEST AND WAS AWESOME AND IM SO SAD HE IS RETIRING.

I feel so bad that he has to put up with ms. posteraro.
ok.. he can be nice but he likes to talk...... and in chorus me and my friend counted how many times he sang along with us and it was 11 times!!!!!
he is so self absorbed....he tells us long stories that just say the same thing over aand over, he just likes to hear his own voice. we know there will be a speech when he takes his glasses off..
good choir teacher, almost prepares you for HS choir...almost. Not as great as a gen. music teacher, though. But he'll never forget us, not with that amazing scrapbook! ORANGE! lol
he sucks. Maybe if he didnt teach such a boring subject he would be cool, because hes kinda nice. nd he stole my pen light...doche
Mr. D is really nice. Everyone says that he is mean, but his class was really easy, and hes a pretty good teacher.
I love Mr. D. He is a great teacher, and i learned a lot in his class.
I can't believe you guys don't like Mr. D! he's kinda strict but if you are funny in his class then he is nice to you
Mr.D. SO plays favorites, like me, but since I'm a favorite,I don't get bad grades.I'm a good singer too, and I get a lot of solos, so I'm a teacher's pet.Sorry everyone who's not!
i hate him he kicked me out of rehersal for couging!
mr d. is okay alittle harsh for the first day of 6th grade i mean so what were 1min late.
mr. d is so nice if you listen to what he says and do your work. can get a little angry at times but is a nice guy and a pretty good teacher

i hate that man!!!!! he is the worst teacher i have EVER had!!!! i am soooooo happy i don't have him any more.he's a bad bad teacher.
Mr. D is awesome, those of you who complained are just delinquents
Mr. D knows music well and is a really good piano player.
He is great. Just do your work. Maybe if you all weren't such a bunch of lazy bums you'd see what he's trying to accomplish.
I have him in choraliers and chorus, not for music. I hate that thing where he goes "It's not time for that right now, it's not time for that right now."
i remember choraliers am i speaking italian?! does he still say if you do that youll get laughed off stage? considering our audience i think not
I Admit He's A very helpful Music teacher. I Like Him.
